A client ask for some how to show a set of images from a folder in a module. There was nothing available from Joomla Extensions so I wrote this.
I have no idea whether this would be useful to someone but here it is.
Name your images all the same and add a number to the end e.g. gjc_logo1.png, gjc_logo2.png, gjc_logo3.png etc..
Create the folder on your Joomla installation and upload them. Fill in the folder path in the module parameters e.g. images/stories/showimages
Continue to fill in the necessary info such as the file name, in this case gjc_logo. Don't use the number or the extension.
Then the extension and the number of images to show.
There are many other parameters you can configure as listed below -
module class
images class
images width
images height
images alignment
images border style
images margin
images padding
images caption
images caption position
images caption style
header text
footer text
header & footer text styles
surrounding div's width and height
surrounding div's border styles
surrounding div's padding & margin
individual images alt & caption text
indivdual images linking urls
