Pop Image Slider

Pop Image Slider provides an impressive and interactive way to view images. The images slide left and right according to the cursor movement and when cursor is over an image, the image is magnified. The images are also links to urls specified by you. These links may open using the lightbox effect or in parent or blank window. Also the links may refer to web pages or file types such as image, video, sound, flash.
Now there is no need to edit images in order to style them. Styles like border, shadow, rounded corners, gap between images can be achieved though the module parameters.
In addition text is supported. In particular a) there is a title below each image, b) title and description appear when cursor is over an image and c) title and description are also viewed when opening links using the lightbox effect. You can choose whatever you like.
The height and the width of the images, in normal and zoomed state, can be set according to the needs of the developer.
Latest feature: Automatic sliding.
Pop Image Slider works with Mootools 1.2.4. So, you need to use Joomla version 1.5.19 or higher and to enable "System - Mootools Upgrade" in "Plugin Manager". There is no need to do that for Joomla 1.6, 1.7 and 2.5.
Setting up the module is extremely easy and the outcome, well it's perfect for my site!
Support is great, that's the way its supposed to be. The developer emailed me to see how it was going with the module. What more can you ask for?
Thanks Thanos ;)
Only works with New Mootools Enabled (1.2)... fine they mentioned that... But also..
Does not work in IE7... you can see this on their demo. Wish I had checked it in that browser first before buying. Has issues with z-index, and hidden portions showing.
The Module Class Suffix param is not the Joomla Module Class Suffix... its just a class suffix to the slider within the module, so you are forced to have it in a module with default styling unless you alter the code.
If they fixed the IE7 issues and the module class suffix it would be a great tool but otherwise I cannot recommend it as of yet.
I'm hopeful for an update.
The issues about IE7 and Module Class Suffix are both fixed.
one thing i would like to see is maybe being able to add a link to the images.
highly recommend this extension.
Thanks for your kind words.
This new version supports links to the images.
