* Small & Nice Joomla System plugin to set random background for body tag or any HTML tag depend on menu item.
* Random Image module depend on menu item (added on 2009/11/16)
* Free to use.
* Works with SEF.
* W3C compatible.
* Able to set Image Folder.
* Some more interesting parameters.
Thanks to Jorgen for posting the detailed information in his review. As a result I was able to use this plugin - I have one small edition to add to what he has provided: In order to prevent your background image from repeating go to the plugin parameter settings and enter no-repeat in the BACKGROUND REPEAT line to prevent the plugin from repeating the image. This is the same script that you would use in your TEMPLATE.CSS And, as he has noted above, if there is a URL posted for the HTML body tag remove it and replace it with the tag "body" (not including the quotes of course!)
Thanks Jorgen!
Thanks Jorgen!
This could be a great plugin. But there are som very simple instructions missing.
In order to use this, You need to do this, create a directory on Your website, for example:
images/backgrounds
Submit this to the foobla plugin and name Your backgroundfiles like this:
1.jpg
106.jpg
204.jpg
1, 106 and 204 are the ID numbers found in the mainmenu. You can see the ID in
the menumanager at the backend.
1 = homepage
2 = about page
3 = loginpage an so on.
The plugin also uses a hidden filename: _default.png that can be used on the
pages that you don´t have given any backgroundfiles.
You must check that there isn´t any other CSS file that assigns a image to
the body tag. If this other CSS assigns a picture to the body tag after that this
plugin has done it´s job, that asignment will take over. You can check this by
examining the created pages and look through the header section. Easily done with
firefox + firebug.
