Each image can have a title and a link, and the user can click on the highlighted image.
The 3d flash image rotator module is specially designed for Joomla 1. You can change the background, decide whether if the animation should start automatically and whether you want to show the label for each item or not.

I am a fairly experienced joomla user. I could not get this one to work. I have sent three separate support requests over the past two weeks with and I have received exactly three auto responses that tell me I will get a response asap. Stay away from it.
