This is amazing plugin for Joomla!, its outperforming multithumb which I was running previously. It isn't disrupting other components, it's working perfectly and it's delivering pro level design for my web page. It's working automatically, but still it is possible to control size of images which you don't want to convert to thumbnails. Very important is that author very fast respond for support questions. This plugin is free but deserves a donation thanks to its quality!
Highslide is the best Web 2.0 approach to popup windows. A professional choise for professional sites. On the other hand it's VERY complex to integrate and configure, so that beginner webmasters can be discouraged if they can't use a GOOD J! extension.
I tested ALL HS-related extensions without having satisfaction until I discovered JoomSlide. JoomSlide has a rare feature: it turns a nightmare in a dream. Other HS extensions (free and paid) can't get 10% of power and simplicity of JoomSlide.
Juan Miguel is a great coder and an enthusiastic and friendly person: he is working EVERY day at his/our project and he is very collaborative so that I'm pretty sure Joomslide will become a killer application in multimedia (not just images) manager in the next future of Joomla world.

I have tried every gallery, slideshow and image rotator there is for joomla and this one is the best. The way all the thumbnails are cropped to the same size is aesthetically very pleasing to the eye. Full size images can be any size which is great for photographers that want you to see the images very large. Web designers are always looking for ways to make the user interface maximum simple, the joomslide gallery does just that. Super simple for the end user and most elegant.
The support for this extension is hands down the best I have ever experienced. Juan answered and solved all my problems so fast that I have to say thank you Juan for your support and this excellent extension. Keep up the great work!

Excellent plugin, but I have a problem. My template has Flash in the header. If I click thumb (using this plugin), Mozilla shows full-sized photo correctly, but IE7 not: my flash layer is in the front and full-sized image is behind it.

I do not think that is a JoomSlide bug. If you check HighSlide FAQ forum, you will find the solution. If that does not work, you can go to JoomSlide support, maybe with more information, we will can fix it.
Excellent plugin, but I have a problem. Only the thumbnails from the front page of my website do enlarge and show the original picture. In an article the thumbnail don't want to load the original image. The same picture of an intro works great on the front page, but once I enter in the article, the thumbnail from the intro doesn't work anymore.
Any ideas ?

You have SEF enabled. Its a bug [14174] in JoomSlide 1.1. It's solved here http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=473&t=354647
Great!!! That's exactly what I was looking three days. Good "in articles" gallery with good thumbneils looking. It really works and is functionally.
One wish: If you make width-height change button for first "Width thumbnails" parameter in next version, this will provide more convenience & opportunity to make a gallery more visual organic.
By the way, Contract effect parrameter, for what this?

Hi dmt, HighSlide has a bug when contract the image. If the expanded image(real image) is more big than viewport, contract effect fails.

I rated this one Average not because it can't work for me. Even it can work, I also think it is not good enough.
The author used the word Automatically when introducing this plugin. What is the meaning of Automatically? If a plugin needs manually edit CSS file and manually set the CSS class for the image, it shouldn't be called Automatically. Take a look at another plugin named Multithumb, that is real Automatically.

Sometimes people don't speak English natively, can make mistakes. However JoomSlide creates thumbnails automatically, but you need tag the image with "joomslide" in class option.
By other way, this can be a good new feature really, JoomSlide can process all the images automatically and to create thumbnails automatically, so will be added in the next version.

2 .- Add a new style in your WYSIWYG editor. To add the style you need "templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/css/editor.css" file in your Joomla template
2.1 .- If exists file: add ".joomslide {border: 0;}" at the end of the file.
2.2 .- If not exists file: Download "editor.css.zip" file from Homepage, unpack and save in the "templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/css/" directory
