AJAX Photo Album ComponentPlugin

AJAX Photo Album is an innovative, quick and user-friendly image gallery. The images are browsed without refreshing the whole site each time an image has been changed. Only the actual image is updated which makes this component much quicker than traditional galleries. The admin application manager allows you to create new albums, upload and delete the images and create thumbnails. AJAX Photo Album is optimized to deal with large number of images. The setup process is extremely easy. The gallery features multiple albums, photo and thumb view, customizable templates, multiple languages, browsing by images or thumbnails, live image search, drop-down selection, a mambot for displaying the album inside the article content and much more. Compatible with Joomla! 1.5!

Great extension, easy install, and easy to use. When the site went from production to live ran into a weird problem that I never would have figured out without Emir's help. Quick response! Thanks.

The Component is very good and I am using it on one of my clients websites, and it is superb, but there are some things I would like changed.

The Component could do a lot more and if these changes can be made quickly within a few days then I would purchase 1 for every client website I make, as the component is fantastic.

You can only put the images in an A-Z and Modified format, this is very bad. The clients I deal with have rankings in their business structures. i.e Director, Manager, Hair Stylist, Beaty Therapist is an example of a site I am currently doing.

Great Component, A+++

This is a very useful component. I needed a gallery that I could include in an article I was writing. This one does that and I can also create an individual gallery and make a link to exhibitions. It is really easy to use. Just create an album and upload a bunch of images and you're good to go. There is a little tweaking to get it going, but it's *really* worth it. I am not at advanced level and I managed to install it and set it up with out help. The instructions for installing are well laid out and I would recommend you read them first. It's easier than it sounds. I had a little issue with IE7 but the support was very good and Emir the developer was very quick and sorted out the problem for me very fast and efficiently.

I always had the same problem when it comes to my joomla sites: what gallery to use. some galleries have too many requirements, some don't work together will other extensions and some are just not good looking enough for a showcase. But not this one! This extension is great in every aspect. I must admit i wasn't expecting to find it or for it to work so nicely. Works right out of the box after installation. And it has great potential and a very important feature: templates. You can change the structure, look, and features displayed in seconds! Ajax makes it even better. I believe this extension is more than worth it's money simply because it's easy to use and anyone can make it look exactly the way they want.
The only thing is that i can't see any albums in the album section of the extension but that doesn't bother me at all. I can do without album and image description since this is such a great and flexible extension. I know it will get even better.
I absolutely recommend it 100%.

Two things that can be put on the wish list for today’s user-generated content/ social website trend is: 1) viewer feedback/comment and 2) registered user albums (front-end access).

Other stuff: 3) Adding photo description in a way that won’t be obtrusive, database dependent and take up much real estate (I know, that's asking for a lot); 4) If photo description is too much, at least a way to place a few text lines to describe each album.

As is, it is worth the asking price.
