I am not the kind of person who usually leaves a review but in this instance I thought it was appropriate to do so.
Firstly, this extension is excellent! It does everything that I wanted out of a gallery and more. There are plenty of options in the back end and even though I am still getting to grips with it, already I have managed to create a collection of different categories and start uploading images.
I did have an initial problem with the details page not showing up when clicking on the image thumbnail, however, this was quickly resolved because the support for this product is simply first rate.
The author was extremely helpful, looked at the problem and made the necessary changes in no time at all. I would certainly recommend JWallpapers to anyone wanting an image gallery with diversity and creative thinking behind it.

I am actually a man but writing for all our team. I have tested several popular picture galleries and JWallpapers really does the job. It basically works with no problems. The first, current version of the software is designed as several galleries listed on front page which share common voting and resizing settings. It integrates nicely with JComments and CB.
What is really nice about this software is that it is professionally looking as opposed to for example JomGallery which is, I have heard, popular but looks terribly.
One disadvantage in my case was that it only integrates with CB which encouraged me to choose CB over JomSocial which I now regret :(
But I will fix that :)
What I would really like to emphasize is the support. The support is actually personal. The author does not try to hide behind some forms, forum etc. but actually responds and solves problems within hours. This is safety and this is great

I don't often write reviews but in this case I must. This is a very good extension and will only get better with Version 2 coming out soon. But so often good Joomla extensions are ruined by lack of support. The developer of this site offers absolutely superb support - I cannot say enough good. I installed the component and had some problems which required some changes to the php code. Arunas responded very quickly and made the changes to get everything working for me. I don't think it could have been any quicker if he was sitting at my computer!! Just excellent!!!!
The Jwallpaper component is simply in a league of its own in several key areas.
Easy to use and to deploy, great performance and reliability as well as seamless integration with other products.
Being new to development I found the developer to be unbelievably responsive and very helpful indeed in providing support. The price for me is very reasonable and the value added by the excellent support is first rate.

This Compenent looks great, but i have one question.. Can registered users upload own photos? Can users view ONLY own categories?

Thank you very much for the review, and I'm glad that you like the component's look.
Registered users do not exactly “own” the image that they have uploaded via the frontend submit form. These are displayed as pictures “uploaded by” the registered user who has submitted them.
Regarding your second question, the answer is no, since users do not own new categories that have been proposed by them in the frontend. JWallpapers do not follow the scheme of galleries owned by members. However, with the CB picture tab plugin, users can show all the pictures uploaded by them in their CB profiles. Likewise, users can see images uploaded by other members in their profiles.

This is a really good component! I had a few problems with it working with my template, but their customer service was really good and I was able to fix it quickly. I recommend this to anyone. The photo contest module, I have found causes my members to stay on my site longer, plus they can vote daily which causes them to come to my site everyday.
The component and the developer are excellent! Jwallpapers is extremely easy to deploy, phenomenally robust, and rock solid in performance. The developer is extremely responsive to providing stellar support if required. I am working with him on a custom project as well and his custom products are as outstanding as his core product!

Very easy to install and configure.
The software does exactly as described and more as the author continually provides new updates and features. The author also interacts with members to ensure the best possible user experience is obtained.

Purchased this after reading the reviews and am well impressed. Installation is easy and fast and the product is a dream to use.
Had aproblem after installation that turned out to be a problem with the hosting company and access to temporary tables in the MySQL database. Arunas, the creator of the component, replied pretty much immediately to my support request. Ask for some access to the site and found the problem very quickly.

This is a great component! I needed a component that registered users could comment and upload images and this met my specifications. Setup is very straight forward. Support is phenomenal. I had an issue and Arunas responded promptly, took a look under the hood and had the issue resolved in minutes! Excellent!

Just what I needed. Works like a charm on very large files. Installed easy and is easy to use. One of the best components I have.

This component works fine as an image gallery. It's simple of use and setup is a breeze. The product is young but is one of the best I have used, even compared to much mature components. Support is also excellent. Amazeika is responsive and try to please most of us. Keep on the good work.

Now I will use the language file and make an Swedish version of this very good component.

I was searching for a simple gallery including rating and comments. This component suits everything I needed. It works well with jComments, which is an excellent component too. I contacted the developer for help, he replied me quickly and solved my problem, even when it was not a component issue.

I'm not in the habit of writing reviews for products, but when you find one that does what's advertised and does it very well, the developer deserves a pat on the back. I had a functioning gallery up and running 10 minutes after downloading the component! And what's better is that it works and looks good. Kudos to Arunas for the component.
Spent ages, trying to find an image gallery that could handle lots of categories. Unlike other popular image galleries, JWallpapers AJAX based category selection in the submission of images is top notch and easy to use. This is a new gallery and is constantly being added to, the developer responds to questions and suggestions immediately. Mark my words this will become the standard for an easy to use image gallery. Cant wait for more plugins.
