Alright, so I was browsing the internet for a proper home page sliding pane/news feed with an image slider and I ran into this product. At first I was very sceptical about paying for a sliding pane instead of making one of my own, but due to timing constraints I decided against making my own, and purchasing the Altra Switcher.

This product has several options which can be edited for the user's needs. Other than the fact that users have to dig into the CSS to change small things such as borders, I cannot see any other cons about this product.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants a nice, clean, and easy to use module which will display images, image descriptions, and a news pane on the right side of the slider. Everything is customizable, the size of the news pane, the size of the main left image pane... everything. I am very pleased with this product and I definitely would recommend it to anyone out there.

Not to mention I was having some issues with installing the module on my website, and their customer support replied very very fast, with an answer that brought me to a solution within minutes.

This is a nice news content rotator extension. Very useful for businesses that need a professional front slider with links.

Pros:
*clean Layout
*easy to add links, descriptions, and photos
*adjustable columns

Cons:
*moves a little fast, no way to change speed
*need to edit CSS in order to change colors, border, etc.

Overall:
* In general, it works great, but more parameter control would be nice in the future

This module was developed with enough preparation and research into developers requirement especially when creating a photo slideshow that has a thumbnail with description, Altra Switch gives you ability to switch btw 4 different styles, available in 2 colors, auto-scroll and next/previous button. The color changing facility makes your site looks new from the prvious day which allows vistor to the site is always updated.

Very nice slideshow with the ability to change skins, have a navigation menu and content block.
I found it litle bit limited, but the company promise to release a new and beter version soon.
The only disadvantage of it, is that it's limited for only 6 images, but with litle technical skills, every one can fix that issue.

It seems there is still some advancement to be made here but what this is so far is really good as a current release.
I am currently going to test more this compoments use on another site.
I have one site gaining 5 million hits a month
and until this is a bit more adept for that use, ill use it on a lesser site
