I love the freedom offered by the GPL to enable us to take Joomla! and do with it that which we wish. Unfortunately, cashing that freedom in to check out other JS frameworks can be tricky. We can also create problems for users if we don't consider the big picture beyond "our extensions."
I'm recommending SC jQuery to others who don't want to sort through the document header array, reload Mootools after jQuery, or unload Mootools, etc., and figure out how to get the no conflict going. This plugin does it - and in doing so, safely opens up a whole world of possibilities for cool UX action on Joomla! sites.
Thanks Phil!

Gosh, is this nice! Thanks for making it available for people to create Translations for Joomla! Core and Extensions.

This is a "must have" Joomla! Extension that I recommend for anyone creating a Joomla! Web site. Within seconds by clicking a button, you can upgrade your site to the newest release. Glad to hear this will be part of core Joomla! 1.6. Thanks, Sam, for making this available to us!

Most perfect extensions are elegant solutions that get right to the point, do exactly and only, what is needed, and do it perfectly. Such extensions are easy to install, configure, and use and fit the bill perfectly. Such is the case, here.
Alf - you are to be congratulated and thanked, very much. You really hit the nail on this one. Cheers!

Message for Joomla! v 1.5 mailbox system is a perfect addition to a social networking or group blog site, allowing members to exchange private messages. It is integrated with Kevin Devine's UserMeta extension so that those members who prefer to turn this functionality off are able to do so.
The mailbox system is easy to use. A bit of javascript provides easy lookup on username and name, and enables messages to multiple members. It is easy to navigate as you send, review, respond to or delete messages.
This extension has been constructed specifically for Joomla! v 1.5 using the MVC architecture (which means template overrides are possible) and utilizes security tokens in the forms to prevent CSRF. Excellent work!

Normally, I am a skeptic of any extension that links articles since working with Joomla!'s URLs can be tricky business. But, this extension does it right. It uses the URL generated by the menu system and it interacts with the router to get the right configuration. I am certain this extended editor plugin will quickly become a "must have" for Joomla! websites.

Ercan has created a little magic in this functional blogging extension. It's no fuss, either, just install and go, impossible to mess up.
This is *perfect* for a group blog environment where you want to show other articles written by this author.
With *flair* created with a little Mootools action, Ercan adds a bit of fun to your site. I really enjoy this piece. These are the types of extensions that make a site memorable.
Thanks Ercan!

Yuri stepped in and filled a big gap in Joomla!'s capabilities with this comment extension. yvComment works wonderfully with Joomla! v 1.5.
Perhaps even more importantly, Yuri stands behind his work, interacts on a regular basis with the community, responds to questions and fixes problems that might arise. He also encourages others to integrate other functionality that compliments this work (like Captcha and SPAM protection, etc.)
Excellent extension from a hard working, talented third party developer.
Thanks Yuri!

Tomasz has an amazing extension here. Twitter integration is available for other CMS's, like WordPress and Drupal, but Tomasz's extension goes much further.
After an article post, this extension retrieves the URL for the Joomla! article, converts the URL to a TinyURL interactively, behind the scenes, using curl, and sends the article title *and* the TinyURL to Twitter.
With it, you can help drive Twitter traffic back to your site. It's the modern day equivalent of a ping and it's a good example of how to take advantage of the power of a social network to generate more interest.
I very much recommend this extension. It is well developed and extremely functional.
Good job!

This is the perfect little plugin for your Joomla! v 1.5 website.
You can use it to append the name of your website in every page title. The site name can be in front of or behind the page title. There's even a homepage option that is useful to avoid "doubling" your site name in the page title. Well considered.
It's necessary for SEO and it works great.

This is one of my very, very favorite extensions. I have used it to create a Business Directory Listing, like a Yellow pages listing in a snap. It is very versatile and easy to use. Thanks so much, Chanh! :)
