For the beginner the installation is simple, after installing the component is shows the few steps that are required to personalize the blog. The default setting are appropriate and can be used as is.
For the Advanced blogger there are many features that make this a true blogging component, not just an article content creator. In addition to the default commenting system, there is easy integration for the major Joomla! commenting components as well as commenting service such as Intense Debate and Disqus.
What makes this a true blogging component is the extensive integration of META Tag management, Pingomatic , Trackback URLs, Akismet, ReCAPTCHA, AUP, and Social Sharing.
I was looking for a fully featured blogging component with excellent support I could rely on and found it in EasyBlog.

Joomla, is about choice however, and to be open-minded I installed AP Lite. It seemed OK, it felt like maybe things were a little easier to access. Then I started to create a new site, and things felt bad. Was it motivation, was it a lack of structure?
The simple answer, Joomla is simply better with AP Lite. You'll work faster and you will be able collaborate easier. Try it, it just simple makes you enjoy joomla even more.

After messing with sIFR for hours (and giving up on it working the way I wanted) this little plugin is just amazing. In less than 5 minutes I had the font converted and installed on the site.
For my next project I will be getting jSIFR Pro, for the added flexibility.
