I really like universal ajax live search.

I use it for my virtuemart store ( 9000 products ) and I like the popunder that gives you the results as you type.

It has a nice interface, blends with the template very nicely, and is 10000% customiseable.

The only downside could be that it's a bit harsh on the server load with the live function it has, and that it doesn't display out of stock products when you search for them as an administrator.

Overall, it is a GREAT extension, and its price is very good too!

I used to have tons of problems with Google webmaster's tools and 404 error pages because of duplicated content. I didn't use a component for SEF Urls, rather than a plugin which worked pretty fine, but didn't address the issue of duplicate URLs ( It wasn't to blame of course )

I run a Joomla + VM ( 1.5 + 1.1.9 ) web store, with a good monthly income, and as I needed even better SEO, I had to use a SEF extension.

I have tried some extensions in the past,such as sh404sef and Joomsef and I came to only ONE conclusion : SLOW, SLOW, SLOW.

I took a look at JED, and I stumbled across Mijosef. I have never heard of the guys before, and as I had all the night to "play" and experiment, I bought Mijosef. I also bought this instead of sh404sef for example ( Which I also bought later on ) because I wanted to give credit to some new guys that are around, and help them spread their wings as well. We don't always have to support the people that have already a pretty good userbase. Good things may also come from people we've never heard of.

The first thing I DIDN'T like, and still don't, is the fact that they don't have a list of the 3rd party plugins that you need to BUY afterwards in order for your respective components to work as expected. It's not that bad, but I would prefer to see it in the product specifications. Being transparent ALWAYS brings better results for one's business.

And... that's the last thing I don't like about this component and Mijosoft products.

The Mijosef extension and the guys who operate Mijosoft are worthy of the money they ask for their extensions, at least for Mijosef.

The component works like a CHARM, configuration is pretty easy and self - explanatory. The control panel is very good in its UI, and one can make a ton of improvements and configurations.

I encountered some problems with the post-installation settings-configuration and with the Virtuemart plugin, but the guys supported me in a very good manner, and I thank them publicly for that. They don't tell you that your website is at fault, or that other components are interfering; they try to figure out what's really wrong and point you to the solutions available spending no time of yours with nonsense.

The most important part of this component is that it's like it's not even there. My website hasn't slowed down significantly. It's at a very good rate of speed and usability, something I couldn't achieve with other components.

I find the Sitemap feature to be EXTREMELY useful, especially for us users of Virtuemart, who all know the woes of multiple menu ID's and the such. No need for Xmap or anything like that. You can configure everything, inclusions, exclusions, virtually anything, from the Sitemap's interface, and also automatically ping Bing, Google and other services about your site's content. Talk about real SEO right?!!!!

At the end of the day, Mijosef does what it's creators promise, helps a lot with URLs, Metadata ( I haven't mentioned that part because I am using another extension for this, but I've tried it for a while and it worked pretty good ), Sitemap, 404 and redirect management, and everything in between.

A really good and worthy extension.
