Ok, I'm rating sh404SEF as excellent event if I found and fixed bugs, because for such a good work, a few bugs are acceptable and...give me the name of even one software wich is bug free !

And ok, it's not a component for newbies, it's not always working out-of-the-box, it needs tuning and plugins etc.

I'm using sh404SEF not only for rewritting url but olso for security. It's very usefull to track attacks and to block IP adresses.

The component is still supported and maintained, please have a look at the hosting website.

I installed this plugin without any problems. But it's still buggy.
First, on my test server and my prodcution one, the captcha don't protect Virtuemart registration. The captcha is not registered in the virtuemart user_fields, then, it's displayed but not a required form when the registration is submitted. Spamer's bots can then bypass the captcha.
Second, the sound player don't work.

Those bugs are listed by several other webmasters, one is listed on the support forum, but unfotunatly, this is a Google code website and when you don't have Google account, you can't post issues and have support.

It's a good plugin for a lot of webmasters, but I can't advise to use it with virtuemart.

Installed without any problems. I just have to move the language files for french translation from fireboard to Kunena and to move also my css files if possible. But right now, it's working just well.

I was pretty sure that Fireboard was a good choice as a base for my website forum. Other forums for Joomla! was not interesting, and now Kunena is the proof that à was right to stick to this base.

I enjoy this composant, but there is a lot of bugs to fix. The last one I fixed by myself was a problem with backslashes generated by ' caracters in galery description and pictures descriptions.

Then please note this, in the template semantic, in html/gallery.php there is a lak of stipslashes functions.

Also, Y tried to register an account on the home website, and it seems that I can't receive the account activation mail...then I can't give the solution for the backslashes problem while there is already 2 users claiming for a solution in the support forum.

Sorry to post a negative review but there is so many good ones around that I think it's not so bad.

I realy don't like Agora...I tested all the forums for Joomla! around and I stick with Fireboard.

- The first thing I don't enjoy with Agora it's the admin zone in the user frontend. Administration have to be embeded in administration...not every where around.
- The second thing it's the poor ergonomy of the administration section. It's simply not ergonomic at all.
- And for the last, Agora looks like...Agora. You can't realy tune it to fit any design.

Then thanks guys to share your work with the free-open-source community, perhaps some people likes it, but realy for me it's non usable.

An other point...Fireboard is not dead, the devs are clamaing that thez are at work, that there will exist a new big release (FB2), then don't be so fast to abandon Fireboard for Agora, I think you could be disapointed later...

Very nice module, it can boost a lot your website design. Before I test it I was using the standard product-scroller but it was not really what I was expecting to see on our website. Then tested Smooth Random Product. I'm addicted now !

The module works out of the box, but I had to resize it. No fear about the code...it's cristal clear and realy modern kind of code. You can adjust all the parameters in the css file.

I had a problem with mootools, and I had to contact the developper of this module. I had an answer a few minutes.

Don't forget to update the mootools code for virtuemart or disable the carousel. Read the infos.
