HikaShop
I've been a Joomla! user for some time, almost 5 years. I've tried many components, modules, plugins, etc.
I needed a component for shopping and already knew of virtuemart. I've tried it in the past and wasn't sure if I'd want to use it again. Then I came across HikaShop. I read the features, reviews, and thought I'd give it a shot. Was I in for a suprise! The Features! ENDLESS!! Sure, some are paid, but you can tell they took the time to pack this component with EVERYTHING a site owner could DREAM OF! I have to say to this team, HATS OFF TO YOU! Oh but wait...I sent a question regarding a small issue and sure enough, got a response in less than 10 minutes! NO JOKE! Never EVER have I seen a response THAT fast from ANY Joomla Extensions Developer. I think the Joomla team needs to feature this...just saying. 10 Stars to you guys for this!

BreezingForms (Lite)
I wanted to give this 5 stars to be fair I gave it Average.
If you're looking for ease of use, this wasn't it for me.
I tried it out on Joomla 2.5.6, and tried to create a form.
I gave up because it seemed more complicated than necessary. For example, when I tried to enter text in the "easy mode" it didn't work. No response.
I gave up. I did give it Average rating due to the fact that maybe it was just me. I did find another form component that was a little more simple, yet does the same thing.

Good work guys.

P.S your package says Joomla 1.7 I'm wondering if this had anything to do with it? Yet on your description is says 2.5 compatible? The only download link on your site links to a 1.7 compressed file.

Hi,

you are one of the users for those "quick" means "easy".

In that case, better use the QuickMode. Equally powerful and even more (90% of our user base are using it).

I wonder why you didn't try it?

Then you might feel to edit your review.

Markus

Akeeba Backup
I installed this a couple of months ago. It worked, but didn't really need it until 2 nights ago. My virtual dedicated server through GoDaddy had a hardware failure. I upgraded to a dedicated and then went to the Akeeba website to read up on how to restore the backup. I was a little nervous because 1) i'm not that experienced in Linux 2) i'm even LESS experienced with MySQL/PHPMyAdmin.
The restoration was A BREEZE!! It restored my tables, ALL of my files and the site was back up and running LIVE within 30 minutes!!
TO THE CREATOR(S): I must say please don't ever stop making components for Joomla! This is probably one of the best, well designed components i've seen. No bugs that i can tell, the documentation was well written. Well done guys! If i had your address I would send you some beer for this, but then you'd be too drunk to make more awesome products!
K2
Not worth the headache.
Authors email shows up under the article. Allows for spam. Couldn't find a way to remove it.
Installed the other plugins that work with it, however, they still showed up as not installed in K2. So yeah uhh... Epic Fail....

Let's see...
1. The author email can be hidden of course if you'd saw the related option in the K2 component parameters. It is also "cloaked" as we say in Joomla! lingo, which means that even if it shows up, bots cannot pickup the email address.
2. When you install a K2 plugin (which is a regular Joomla! plugin, that's why it's called "plugin" and not "pepper" or "addon" or whatever) you have to go into the Extensions >> Plugin Manager and simply enable it. I'm sure most K2 extension developers clearly define that.

Last but not least, this "headache" has just won the J!OSCARS award for component of the year... What where people thinking, right?
