Front End Editor
This is a brilliant alternative to the heavy-weight JCE and CK Editors !
Unfortunately it is not possible to restrict the edit rights to the "special" group of users. That means any registered user can edit articles ..
Another hint: make sure you safe your index.php file BEFORE installing this component, otherwise it could happen that your template is messed up and can't be restored as it happened to me :-(

Anyhow very good extension / and if the user rights problem is solved it will be certainly the best joomla editor ! Thanks !

Oh, it should've created a backup file 'index.php.backup' for you. You can always click on "Revert Changes" to undo the changes that it makes to your template's files.

I will try and add user permissions in a next version maybe. With ACL in Joomla 1.6, permissions are going to be easier to add.

Quickcontent
I like this idea, it should be actually in the core of Joomla !
BUT.... unfortunately it is not working for the frontend what is a really pity, since my customers are not writing their articles in the backend.

Anyhow thank you for this extension, it will be perfect if accessible from the frontend too, but maybe its not designed to be like that.
Owner's reply

thank you, Quickcontent was designed to create new content at the backend only. Not as helper for customers but as helper for webworkers and mass content producer to save time at their daily work. The next step in evolution could be not only to create content but to edit content with "ajax-speed"

Minify4Joomla
I liked the idea of the concept - BUT: the configuration is far too complex for a standard user, you need a lot of php knowledge and patience to make this run...I recomment to use the much simpler plugin CssJssCompress, no offense...

Ninja Zemanta
Thank you for this helpful extension !
It helps to get content as image or text message from news sources directly in my article.
The only downside that I discovered is that it might not be working on a windows-based server. When I switched to Linux server it was OK except a warning message about chmod function in the backend which doesnt affect the functionality. Great work and looking forward to further developments !

Shape 5 Quick Contact
I like this email module because it is very simple and effective. Different from the claiming there is only one form of spam protection by answering a simple question - that is ok but I agree with another user that a captcha would make the whole thing perfect, therefore only 4 of 5 point. Anyhow thanks a lot for this work !

aiContactSafe
This component excellent with a nice frontend - BUT: when the component page is called, then the whole css of the page is gone ! In other words... not usable :-(
Owner's reply

Didn't you contacted me by email and I told you that your CSS codes is setting the display of the articles and not the display of the template?
If you don't have CSS codes for the entire template the design will look different for each component. The problem is not with aiContactSafe but with the way your template is designed. You can test this by using the default Joomla template.

Plugin Include Component
well.... first nobody said that you need the core design plugin scriptegrator to make this plugin run... then after installing that, the message "404 component not found" keeps coming up. Probably its not working with SEF turned on :-(( that would be a very weak point. I had to switch back to the old plugin "load component in module position"
Owner's reply

You don't need the core design plugin scriptegrator to make this plugin run. Please send me an email with your problem and I'll look into it for you.

SimpleCalendar
Thank you for this excellent add-on ! It makes it very convenient for me to collect event and meeting dates and show it on the frontpage - I liked the eventlist package as well but it had too many features that I was never using.
Looking forward for more add-ons from your side !

Superfish Dropdown Menu
One of the best menu systems I have found for Joomla 1.5 .... it works excellent in Firefox and IE>=7, BUT... unfortunately in IE6 the submenu does not at all appear (no overlap effect due to css, just nothing happens on mouseover effect :-(
This flaw makes it hard for me to use this menu unless there is some workaround - many users are still using IE6, so the menu has to work properly... Maybe someone can help ?

Content Reactor
Really good component to show a slideshow of pictures AND text in any module position !
It would be even more perfect if it could display an article as well, not just a picture or a text that has to be typed into the components interface... maybe this is an encouragement for the authors to improve it even more. Nevertheless, thank you very much for this great work !

K2
Thats what many were surely waiting for for a long time ! This component might be able to replace the category view of Joomla as well as the many "news-list" modules and components swirling around !
Install this component first and then think if you need any other extension !
One small flaw that I couldnt figure out - after posting a comment the message "Page reloading..." appears but nothing happens. Hope that could be solved as well to make this component the no.1 in content news display. Thanks for your work !
Owner's reply

Comments use Mootools, which is the default javascript framework for Joomla! Check if it's disabled for some reason. ;)

JB FAQ
Just another module to list articles from sections or categories - not even selectable by a dropdownlist but by typing in (!) ids into the parameters ... download the thumbsup module, thats 10 times better.
Owner's reply

Thanks for the review Daniel. The module is aimed at creating an FAQ that expands and collapses the answers. I know there are other solutions for displaying content but this is specifically for creating an FAQ.
