The component does not work. In fact I'm wondering whether the last version has ever worked for anyone since it contains a syntax error in one of its SQLs (i.e. missing quotes around arguments). However, even when I manually added the missing quotes the component still did not work.

Tried to post on the developer's forum but I got no response at all. Of course, other users complain about the same problem and their questions went totally unnoticed too.

Nice but full preloading may be a problem

This module is nice and does what it says just out of the box. However, if you are about to serve a large slideshow be aware that the module needs to preload **all** images **before** it even shows the first image of your slideshow. So, if you have a large slideshow you just stare at an empty space until all your images have been preloaded. This is definitely a very negative experience for your users, so think twice before using RockSlideshow for a large collection of images.

The feature of automatic category selection based on navigation is a nice one but as #fjbotto mentioned below, empty categories are not shown up unless you manually edit mod's files.

Empty categories are not being listed even after having clicked on the 'show empty' link. This mod does mainly one simple/single thing and it shouldn't be too difficult to do it right.

Don't like it don't use it. Or so simple, fix it yourself & share with community.
