Many have raved about Drupal's community development software, or Wordpress's BBpress integration. Well, while BBpress might be slightly more polished, the WORK to get there is enormous (for newbies!) Not only does one have to go through an enormous installation process, but then one has to install about 20 different plug-ins to get some decent capability and then you STILL have to do the difficult integration with Wordpress.
Agora just works. It's a 1 click install just like any template, and then you link to it in the menu's and it's just there! Done!
I agree that the main template could be cleaner, but when the next version comes out, there will be more templates. At this stage all Hazzaa's coding effort is going into completing version 3.
Basically, support Agora because it is developing FAST and if it doesn't have the feature you want, it soon will have. Support Agora and you are supporting Joomla. Why? Because people don't want "just a website" any more, they want a CMS, a blog, and a forum, and they want it all to to work and they want it NOW! (I've met people online that just want it all installed, and who feel physically ill when watching the Wordpress & BBpress integration video! I'm one of them also!)
Support Agora, keep Hazzaa happy, give a little donation, and this will help Joomla explode with new popularity. YES Agora's current template is a little clunky. I'm in a graphic design studio and appreciate such things. However, down the track I'm sure new "looks" will be out. Hang in there, and don't let the "newness" of Agora freak you out... this thing's got wings and is flying high.

Hi,
it's amazing how ESSENTIAL this module is going to be for the overall design of my website. I'm focussing on installing an Agora forum in my Joomla site, and so a consistent log-in position is essential for both Joomla and Agora users, and this fits the bill almost perfectly!
The only thing I would change, and this may seem a bit pedantic but my wife is a graphic designer and I'm afraid I'm picking up some of her habits, AND it's an ease of use thing as well, but in the layout of the horizontal logins I'd swap "Forgot your password" and "Forgot your username" around.
At the moment it's a little confusing having them "wonky" with the "forgot" items being under the wrong log-in item. EG: Username is above "Forgot your password".
Also, just a TINY little tweak I'd do visually (if I COULD!!! Blargh CSS is taking a while to learn!) is line up the left edges of the "Forgot" with the actual boxes above.
With these really quite petty caveats, I'll give this 9/10 for ease of use and sheer usefulness in setting up my universal header log-in spot for both all my Joomla pages and Agora forum pages.
Well done! Keep up the great work! It really helps newbies such as myself!
