The first problem is that the documentation is very poor and limited. The second problem is that there's no way to get support or any FAQ area.
The main map / article list doesn't allow you to set it to show only a certain country or city, instead it shows the whole world. This is no good if you want 20 or 30 geotags in the one city only and not worldwide.
When clicking a geotag on my map I get a 404 page not found error. Sadly I can't found out why or get help because the developer doesn't support this option.
It's a huge shame because this is the first geotagging plugin that I've found that's user friendly to add a geotag while creating articles. If it's fixed at some point I'm sure it will be very popular.
The problem is that the general options don't appear so I can't configure the module any further and as such I can't use it.
Nice idea and looks good on your site though.
I don't know CSS unfortunately and even if I did it appears changing one module spot would change all. Thankfully I found this module which does what I want straight from the box - and it works!
Obviously you still have to know some CSS to get the exact effects you want, but this has a few basic features that come with it.
The best thing is that unlike many extensions for Joomla these days, this one is sensibly priced which makes it affordable.
I had around 30 articles on my site that all had different words in them for plugins and components that I had removed from my site. This presented me with the problem of having to manually edit each page which would have taken hours. Luckily I have other products from this author installed so I had a look to see what this script could do and WOW! it removed all my edits in about 2 seconds.
I cannot praise this component enough, 5 stars well deserved!
The only annoyance for me is that it displays the words 'Facebook Social Plugin' at the bottom of the module with a link. I don't like linkbacks to anything as I feel it detracts from a site's branding.
Is this a Facebook enforced thing?
