Optimized Tweets
This module is supposed to be easy to use, but after configuring it for my tweets I just get a big advert for the makes of the module. I suppose the hint comes in the instructions for the Twitter Username where it says "Note this module is unavailable for private accounts". Too right, it is just a free advert for the makers.

Hi Hockeyump,

As you mentioned on the title, you are wrong!

First, you could easily contact our technical team through our ticketing system and report your notes (if there are any), and they will reply to you in less than 24 hours.

Second, for the Ads, it is the source of keep developing free modules for the users like you, and still, you can easily switch this Ads OFF in the admin's parameters of the module (Advanced Parameters).

Please contact us over our Support desk to help you sort your problems, so you can change your review :)

JE Story submit
I need an extension for anyone to be able to submit an article on a Joomla 3.1 site and this is one of the best I have seen. You can choose all your parameters so getting the article in unpublished form and being notified an article has been submitted is easy.

I did have a slight issue after installing it and used the "contact us" form on the site which didn't work (apparently it ended up in their spam box). However, once I used the email address on the site the support was superb. It took me longer to set up a support user for them than it took them to sort out the problem!

$20? For support like that I have no problem at all. For the component? For the versatility of the configuration options I am more than happy to encourage developers like this, and paying for their work is the only way to do it. I think the charge is very fair.

OSE Database Manager™
I created a site for a client on my server only to find they had gone and taken space on another server and wanted to use that. Not really wanting to recreate an entire stationery shop the simplest solution was to import the various category and product tables from the Database on my server. Not having full access to phpAdmin on the new server this is the only app that I could find that gave full access to phpAdmin and allowed me to do exactly what I wanted.

A small hiccup over using Joomla 2.5 was corrected within 30 minutes via a support ticket although I had bought the "No support version". Awesome response time, guys

Well worth the money at £39 for the full support version or £29 for the no support version. This app is definitely now in my arsenal for website development.

Until the Joomla 2.5 fix is released here it is
In file:

find these codes

if(!isset($user->groups['Super Users'])) {

$access= false;

changed it to:

$access= false;

This is a user group judge problem specifically for Joomla! 2.5.

Phoca Maps
Outstanding component that is easy to use and coupled with the Phoca Maps plugin makes displaying maps on your site so simple.

I am using Phoca Maps 1.1.0 and this component is especially useful if you need to display more than one location as it allows you to either define multiple maps or place multiple markers on one map. It allows you to define the size of of the display of your maps as well.

Extraordinarily easy to use and difficult to believe that it is FREE. Thank you so much Jan for all your hard work

I surf about 40 news papers every day looking for specific stories that I put together on my sports orientated site. I have tried many feed aggregators and have baulked at paying the asking price for this component without having the ability to try it out beforehand.

This is quite the best component in it's category and more than worth the price asked for. The PDF manual is very good and explains why and how each element works so you understand it rather than just having to guess. It gives and excellent site for providing an automatic process of updating so that you don't have go into the inner depth workings of your own control panel. The articles are then presented on your site just as you would expect them to be.

If all the sites I looked at had an RSS feed to their sports section, I would be completely out of a job. This has certainly cut down the amount of work I have to do.

Now all I have to do is convince journalists to actually use the name of the sport in their reports as some of them don't think that is needed!

I run a site covering international hockey and all its tournaments for both men and women. The International Hockey federation come up with so amazingly weird ways of running tournaments and BearLeague coped with these without any problem at all. Best thing about it is it copes with a team (nation) taking part in several tournaments at the same time meaning I don't need a men's, women's senior, junior and masters team for each nation.

Support is absolutely amazing and very helpful. Many thanks guys for an easy to install and easy to use product.

I have a site that is in English because I don't speak other common languages, but it is an international site dealing with International hockey news. For the past 10 years I have wanted to carry the site in other languages and this does it all for me.

I know the Bablefish translations frequently leave a lot to be desired, but something is better than nothing and this Module does for me. Now to find a place to put it on the site (",)

Absolutely outstanding. I was looking for a gallery component that my 14 year old son could use on his site. It needed to have an easy interface to add collections of pictures and then a simple way of displaying them in an organised format (Prom night, First day at new school, Latest show, etc). This excels in both.

There is a bulk upload facility that none of the others have. When uploading a single pic you can set all the information you like including captions and descriptions.

Displaying your galleries is as easy as putting a menu link to the component - nothing else needed even for adding new galleries which is perfect for a 14 year old. No fiddling about with content pages and mosimages

The control panel for this component is outstanding and as straight forward and easy to understand as the Joomla control panel.

It will even watermark your pictures with a copyright notice of your choice!

For those with big sites with many users you can limit the number of galleries and the number of photos each user can have.

Although I usually avoid Alpha products like the plague I am really glad I haven't done so this time.

An excellent rating doesn't even come close to describing how good this component is.
