There seems to be no way to prevent the loading of a second jQuery library, and modules such as Page Peel Banner and Twitter Roll do not seem to work alongside it.
There seems to be an minor issue when using the latest version with Joomla 2.5.6 in that the whole webpage reloads every time the forward or backward buttons are clicked to change the displayed month. I guess that will be resolved with the next update.
The only limitation I found was that when changing the selected currency the minimum donation remained numerically the same. Consequently, a minimum donation of UK£5 becomes Y5 or $5 when the currency is changed.
Since the purpose of the minimum donation may be to avoid suffering loss due to Paypal charges etc, it seems impossible to set an appropriate minimum amount. It would be better if the amount could be converted when the selected currency is changed.
The new version seems very similar to the earlier one - excellent news. However, when adding a new category there seems to be no save option!
Thank you very much for your review, JOHN616! :)
I am glad about you like the extensions. I am going to add new features and to improve it. It will become one of the best quotes extension.
The problem with categories comes with Joomla! 2.5.6. It is work in earlier versions.
I guess, it is a bug, and we discuss it with the guys who develop Joomla.
I hope the problem of the categories will be fixed in next version.
The only problem I have is that the display does not resize with the rest of the website, so when displayed on an Ipad (for example) the module projects beyond the edge of the page and appears awkward. I tried using settings for the module class suffix, including "_menu", but none seemed to affect the display in any way.
I used the carousel option which is very impressive.
The only issues I had were around understanding the plugin parameters, but the excellent and very fast support soon put me on the right track.
There is a case for drawing together all the instructions and details of the various parameters in to a single, easy-to-find location - although I understand this is currently being done.
This is an excellent extension in my opinion and deserves to be widely used. The support is also second to none!
The only minor problem I found was that when using Google Translate, only the current news item is translated to the new language - then the news items revert to English (my site language).
