I'm shocked to see K2's JED rating is below 4. Please guys, take care while rating. Because, this one is star among the extensions in JED which is also FREE. Whenever I need to develop a custom module or plugin, I just go and refer their code. A very professional & clean component. I convey my sanctification and bless their fantastic development team.

I have no doubt this is another good extension in JED. I've started using this in my second website without issues. I noticed in their forum that they are also working in responsive feature. I eagerly wait for it.

Generally, I don't review extensions. But, Today I got some time to do this. I have some favorite extensions list in Joomla like Akeeba backup, K2, Jomsocial. This one is next among my list. I am using kunena in more than 10 websites. Whenever I need an extension, I always would browse for best among the JED list. Still, this is the only recommended & best free extension for forum.

Generally, I will use Virtue-mart to build shopping carts in my client websites. Recently, One of my client suggested this component and to be honest it's very good, simple to understand, configure and bug free :)

I strongly recommend this. Soon, I will purchase the commercial edition.

Akeeba Subscriptions
Honestly, I am a fan of all Akeeba products except this. I always start building my Joomla website using their "Backup" and "Admin Tools". They were gifted extensions for Joomla. But, recently I needed an subscription extension for my client and I purchased from them without any doubt. It worked normally until I upgraded to the latest version. But, when I updated the extension, I totally loosed everything and had to re-configure the component again. Please take care while providing updates.

Thank you for your review, but we object to your assessment of the root cause of your issue.

We take utmost care when releasing updates, testing them on our dev sites, test sites and finally our own live site before making them available. If the update was broken our own site would be down, long before making the update available to our clients.

You seem to have tried uninstalling the extension before upgrading. As we explicitly tell you in our documentation (and as I've written in several public support tickets) you must not uninstall before upgrading/re-installing the extension. Uninstalling removes the database tables of the extension with the natural consequence of losing all your data.

Furthermore I would like to remind you that the Joomla! Extensions Directory is not the right place to request support. You are welcome to filing a support ticket on our site where our experienced support staff can help you understand and solve the issue you are facing. Most importantly, we can help you make sure that it won't happen again.
