I install this chat on a very complex portal with many extensions, plugins, sliders, rss and was almost certain to take it off, unsatisfied... Surprise! this is a hidden gem. No frill, clean, easy to setup and modified (with a little css knowledge) resulting in a really professional result. This is this type of component that bring Joomla to other levels...

I was searching for a replacement for a module that bring article to module placement as it was starting to throw errors in certain servers environments.
I test most of the other...
I use plugins (google map and others plugins includes in my article) — It work Flawlessly.
What really make the difference is the ability to edit in frontend — This is simply brilliant... It put the Joomla content exactly where it should be and centralized it in the Article Manager. This module should be part of Joomla core and hopefully will be ported to Joomla 1.6 up.
On my template I did have to turn off the modification date in each article in the article manager.
For the people that worry for the readmore I suggest to see how (Firebug) your readmore is built (div, class whatever) and simply repeat that snippet of code in your article and simply put your own link in there. The advantage here is flexibility. You have total control of what is show in the front article and the link to the real article.

This is easy to put together and work perfectly. Publish on your web site and Picture and text are send to Facebook/Twitter. Can be automatic on section/category, blog or manually update or not. And a big plus for the support. On one site I did have some issues, the Devs take their time to test my environment to find the problems.

Thanks a thousand time to the Dev — Using it for many years — This component is the only directory that smartly use Joomla internal power to present a powerful directory. Anybody that can donate should do so to Help Bernard with his fantastic work. No need to a convoluted processes. Just create normal Joomla articles in certain section/category and Bam! you have a beautiful directory. This is the best...

What can you do with this module:
You can bring tons of videos from a single or different Youtube Channels and present them on your site the best way possible. All that can be on the same page/article by embedding the single or different modules without any conflict...

The module bring to your site thumbnails of the last Videos from any channels and the Title that accompany them. You can present them horizontally and vertically and with a little bit of css know how, you can achieve that perfect look for your site.

The module refresh for the new videos on the channels (you set the length of time between refresh)

The advantage of the thumbnails is that is way faster to load than an actual embed YouTube Video, I personally made a page with close to 30 channels presenting each 8 videos (all that in an accordion slider plugin given by another developer) and the page load in an acceptable time span for a good connexion (The page load 240 thumbs)

Best of all, each videos can be viewed in the native Joomla modal box.

I encounter small problems to fit what I need and it was done promptly by the developer. Thank’s!

Thanks I love it. Without too much knowledge I add easily some class in the php files to get top notch control. The code is clean, light and relatively simple to modify, even for php complete newbies like me....

I use this extension on a customer web site to pull videos from is YouTube account. The module work flawlessly. I was able to customize the videos scrolling bar (Playlist) (buttons and all) and the screen itself to exactly what I need.

The only problem I encounter was a flickering effect with the rollover buttons on Explorer. I think it’s more an Explorer problem. Fix it with CSS Sprites.

It works perfectly and it's simple to install. The component gives you a good report on block users — email-username-IP-date. Really stop the creation of fake registered users accounts without anything to do from the part of the site administrator. Control of Email notification for block users and administrator. (and other controls how to operate the filtering)

I will have this install on all my sites.

It will be better if it was or have the ability to be wrapped in a div tag.

This is what you want in a module... Simple, clean & efficient, I look everywhere for something like this.

You can setup what you want in the intro text, images, links no stripping, just what you want.

I’m making Joomla sites for around 2 years now and I just change recently from another well known Editor (only in an paying version). My main raison at first to switch to JCE is the Support. On that other editor your support was running out after a period of time. When I say run out, it’s really that no forum, no nothing. Even if I support develloppers that type of aftersales services are not welcome. My analogy : You buy a new car and after the warranty is over you cannot buy any parts for it, you can even open the hood...

I make the good choice with JCE.
1— Excellent support
2— You can go with a free , more basic Editor
3— Or in my case go for the paying extensions to have a professional Editor with all the bells and wistles that you need.

Main features for me is the ability to have one set of tools (of your choice) to one user/authors or type of users and the possibility to assign folders to editors/authors.
And so far, I have more possibilities, compare to my other editor.

This small plugin is perfect for me. Install easily and you can css it the way you want, Horizontal, vertical, the complete look can be modify (by css). What I find fantastic is that smooth transition between pagebreak whithout refresh of the content. It give the impression to the user to really follow a thread whitout flashing content...

The support is one of the best I receive so far. I want to use this component inside a directory (alphaContent) and it was a bug (cause by Joomla) where the article was loosing is path to the directory when pages was call by pagebreak.

I signal this on their help forum.... In less than 3 days I receive the plugin with a modified code to work for my application.

I’m very please with sobi as a Directory. It can be used to show any kind of content that you need to classified and give the ability to the user to search.

Good points:
• No problem to install
• Able to tweak CSS easily to fit your site design
• Ability to user to add entry
• Look Professional

Remarks: It is possible to generate a clone of the component to have multiple directory... Example: On one of my site on The Hockey junior in Quebec, I have a directory for the people and associations that are involve and a second directory to show all the arenas in the province... The ability to integrate GoogleMap is really cool.

I really like the cloning process to be easier.....
