It was difficult to get the CSV formatted as requested, and even then most of the import attempts failed. Small imports, where only one or two articles were included, worked fine. Larger imports never wanted to work.
More details about which special characters to be weary of should be included.
Also, though there are several known bugs/irks that are listed on the developers website, they should just go ahead and list those in the dashboard of the component so we don't have to hunt to realize the "problem" isn't a problem after all.
All in all, I think this is a great utility that should be part of the Core Joomla - but this particular version needs a few more features to make it a bit more user friendly and a little bitty bit more documentation to help us weaklings along.

This is the best shopping cart around... but I only use it for the catalog and it is fantastic.

The import and product entry section could use some vast improvements - but the core extension is perfect!

This is a really well done extension - I can't believe it is avaialable for free. Installion was easy and control panels are really well designed, and almost everything is well organized.
Could use some improved installation documents (particularly upgrade documents), and there are a few minor cosmetic and functionality areas which would benefit from some "user feedback". After I've sent a few letters I will certainly post some feedback/wish-list comments back to the developer.
