Unfortunately does not allow for timezones nor DST
Owner's reply

Hi N6REJ, sorry you are not happy with the module. Due to your and other people's feedback, we will be remaking the module with features that it lacks like timezone settings, choice of digital or analogue and more. Feel free to give any further suggestions in our forum.

As it is currently written w/o its own "view" this is a unneeded extensions as 1.6+ does this natively by simply selecting the author then selecting "category blog" from the menu.
Sorry for the bad review.
Owner's reply

Don't worry about a bad review, if joomla 1.6+ or 1.7+ does the same natively, please tell me how!!!

SIMPLY JOOMLA!
I can't give a higher compliment then that. It works just as it should within the existing joomla envirornment. No .css tricks needed.. Just plug-n-play.

I'm holding back the 5th start, only cause there will not be foreign editor support ( like JCE ) in this release. rc6 shows so much promise its amazing. The chameleon template is very slick. Support and customer care is amazing, even for free support!
This is the ONLY forum currently supporting conversion from ccboard! wtg guys.

The reason we aren't supporting other editors is because of the security problems involved in giving public access to things like file uploads, javascript, flash uploads and so on. Doing so would get your site hacked within days if not hours.

No other forum allows external editors (as far as I know anyway), for the same reasons.

Huru Helpdesk
I hate to say this but huru is NOT really usable as it stands. There is a long standing bug of being able to enter ANY username, even one that doesn't exist as a username and it will still create a ticket.
This of course makes reply's and followups completely impossible. Styling is not consistent through ( front page doesn't even remotely match ticket page )
keeps separate joomla user and huru user tables, ergo requiring sync plug-in.
This seems to be more of a bridge then anything.
Owner's reply

Being able to enter any username is a feature for use by internal support teams that allows them to put in the names of users who call in tickets. It can be turned off or on based on the permissions of the user entering the case.

Separate Huru and Joomla user tables are necessary to allow detailed helpdesk permissions to be set for each user without modifying the Joomla core user table.

FreiChatPure
While I really like the concept of this extension my guild asked that I uninstall it during our test drive of it as it blocked most of the menu's on the right side and seemed to want to dominate the screen realestate instead of being inconspicuous. Having looked at the actual facebook client and compared I notice that it lies in the status bar where this lies above and expanded. Should this be corrected this would be a great extension.
Owner's reply

Hello N6REJ,

The chatbox has to appear in front of all the menu items, how can anyone chat if it becomes inconspicuous.

And about the status, it updates every 5 seconds, You can even change that to 1 second, so that should not be a problem.

RegReminder Lite
Dwayne is VERY quick to respond to issues and solves them very quickly.
This program works simple and very efficiently. I've already seen a large change in my users due to this program.
With each version it just keeps getting better.
5 star's all the way around.

DB Show
The entire module is in german, and the database information is not pulled from the configuration file, but instead entered manually. I guess if you can understand german it would be fine

That really the only word necessary. When you can go from 1944.52 seconds ( @ 14.4 ) to 155.90 ( @14.4) its a HUGE savings. From 243 http requests to 31!!
Keep up the awesome work.. Recommending it to everyone

Date time
upon installation on Joomla 1.5.10 Native, it instally caused a "restricted access" error.

Modul is joomla 1.5 "LEGACY"
Login to Joomla! 1.5 Site Administrator panel (http://www.domain.com/administrator).
Mouse over Extensions in the main horizontal menu, then click on Plugin Manager.
Joomla Plugin Manager
Locate plugin named System - Legacy, and then click on the check box in front of it.
Click on Enable button.
Enable Joomla 1.5 Legacy Mode
Ensure that Legacy: 1.0 status appears on the top right corner, and the Enabled column for “System - Legacy” is ticked. The Legacy Mode has been enabled.

Donate
The main thing IMHO keeping this module from dominating is that its lacking a GOAL system. Whereby as donations are added a graph is increased showing how close you are to reaching your goal. Something simple like a progress bar with text for different goal points would make this module tops over all others like it.

Thanks for making my initial idea come to reality. I'm glad you finished what I only started.
Owner's reply

Wonder what your initial idea was?
Mine is to include a user access-right management into the plugin, thus depending on the entered passphrase different access-levels are granted.

Great job. Actually works with 1.5.1 which is more then I can say for most. How about a thumbnail/lightbox option, where it only displays a small thumbnail till the click then it resizes that one video to normal size in a lightbox... or something else quick.

This young program is off to an excellent start. I'd like to see full email integration both sending and recieving so that things like Sales Orders can be automatically printed.
Also a simple trouble ticket integration would be good that way things don't have to be duplicated.
All in all an excellent start. Lets not stop here though please!
