I created a test database to try out every component, plugin and module before incorporating them onto my site, and found this dating extension to be the best one.
Unlike JDating and Jodda, it's ready to use! And although it's slighty more expensive than the others, there are no complicated pages to plough through in the back-end and setting up the search criteria and user preferences was incredibly easy.
I was able to easily customise the front-end and incporate it into my site. As well as that, the search results are quick and the 'my profile' looks great.
You also do NOT need to log-in again when accessing the dating component from the front end. This I found to be a very tedious 'unremovable' issue with other components of this nature.
They say that "you get's what you pay's for" and in this case, it's absolutely true. If you're serious about creating a dating site, then this component is definately the one to purchase.

Simple Image Holder
I needed a module that could handle images and enable me to 'stick' them wherever I wanted, and this was it! I tried other modules before committing to this one as it was simply the best of them all.
Now my site looks visually superb. So I would strongly recommend this module if you need graphics and control over graphic placement on you site!

I spent a month purchasing and downloading plugis, components and modules and ran them on a test database to be sure that everything worked as it should (and they were what I needed) before I committed to building my site. So I feel compelled to write a review to help others in their decisions.

As my site incorporates social networking, I needed a module to encourage others to join, and this was it. I downloaded both this module and the CB version, but found this one to be more compatible with the 'look' of my site. I will simply say 'Excellent, simple but brilliant'.
I highly recommend... no, I insist you get this module as a must - the best $4.99 i've spent!
