Klixo Particles
I tried 2 snow effect modules: SnowFalling and Klixo Particles. The latter won because the movement looked smoother. In addition, Klixo allowed me to choose whether the snow should be shown on the whole window, in the module (with adjustable height en width) or in the position. I choose position, so it shows only on the top of the site without disturbing the content. In addition, this does not cause a vertical scroll bar to appear and disappear at high frequency on the window. And finally, after the winter, I may use Klixo for "particles" other than snow, which are delivered in the package. Thumbs up!

Nice tree of articles with year and month nodes

Mod LCA
The collapsable tree is simple and straightforward to use, and meets user expectations.

However, it does not seem to work for archived articles only. When I disable "Show registered articles" and enable "Show archived articles", then nothing appears at all. I'm not sure whether this is intentional or a bug. I use Joomla 1.7.
