CMigrator
I have been wanting to convert the JoomStew blog from Wordpress to Joomla for quite some time. My previous attempts with other converters were not good. This one works well!

I installed a fresh copy of Joomla 2.5.1, installed the CMigrator component and entered my DB info and 5 seconds later, I was done. All the categories and articles were in the proper place with the proper layout.

It actually kept the URLs intact for the images, since WP uses complete URLs for them. This is actually a good thing if you don't have time to update all the image URLs, you can simply move the image folder over to your Joomla site and clean them up later.

The only thing I see for now is the captions from the images are still in [square brackets] inside each blog post. But overall, I'm happy with it. Great Job on this Daniel!

ShareMe
I really like this plugin as it allows me to select articles/posts by section, category or menu item. Simple, clean and easy to install. Works right out of the box.

Love the new addition of adding hashtags and allowing us to choose the URL shortener for tweets.

Thanks for sharing this with the community and providing ongoing support and updates!

JoomGallery
This Gallery is everything it says it is on the box and more! The default demo link above doesn't do it justice! You can make it look however you want, and it integrates with the standard J1.5 Mootools library, so no conflicts with Joomla.

The configuration is a bit overwhelming when you click on it for the first time, but it just gives you so many options and layout, you can't ask for anything better! The upload is a breeze, and has several options including images in a zip, single images, a javascript upload as well as FTP upload that let's you choose the files in a category from a specified FTP folder on your server. There's custom titles and descriptions as well as options for voting and comments! Or turn it all off and make a clean thumbnail gallery with slimbox for a stripped down version that's easy on the eye!

I recently tried another free gallery component on a client's site, and I think I'm going to go back and switch to this one for him too! This thing just ROCKS!

I will definitely be keeping this one in the 'heavily used' folder of must have components!

Thanks so much to the developers for your time and commitment to making such a wonderful GPL component!

I love Joomla! And I just met JoomGallery, but I think I love it too! lol. Thanks again!

SOBI Gallery
The Sobi Gallery is a perfect addition to an already great component.

Slimbox is built in, with the ability to turn off Mootools if it's already incorporated into your template.

Perfect out of the box to show off an unlimited number of images in your Directory entries.

>>> To the other reviews that want FLV, WMV and YouTube videos in your gallery, use the 'Media Plugin' from Sobi2. That's what it's for.

I use the Latest Entries Module in several situations to show a list of the latest downloads, and even a preview of images for a Portfolio using the Sobi2 Component.

It's lightweight and works great right out of the box.

The best part is, it's free!

Works great in Joomla 1.0.15 and Joomla 1.5.7 no problem.

Sobi2
I just spent a few weeks working with another (paid) 'directory' component on a client's site, and I must say, Sobi2 is the only way to go. With the plugins and modules available, I have used Sobi2 as a Member Directory for a Drag Racing Organization, a Used Car Inventory for an Auto Sales website, a Portfolio on my own website, and a file repository for a gaming community, and it fits the bill in all instances and still keeps going!

The new template system will surely make this component even more popular in the very near future, and the Sobi2 developers don't miss a beat when there is an issue with a release. Speaking of releases, they continue to improve on the Sobi2 components and modules on a regular basis, and just became Native in Joomla 1.5 without the Legacy plugin enabled.

Great Job Sobi2!

Download Plugin for SOBI2
I love the versatility of the Sobi2 Component, and the download plugin was just what I needed to get my files in order!

Awesome work to add to the fine sobi collection.

Best of all... ITS FREE as in Beer!!!

But it's definitely a worthy project for my donation!

Support on the forum is second to none as well with a great user community willing to share their experience.

FBoxBot
This bot does NOT use CSS to resize in your browser, it actually creates a new thumbnail to size you manually set when creating the article and saves it with the watermark on it to view the larger file in a popup lightbox.

Install it, publish it and forget it. It's automatic and perfect for adding single thumbs that have a cool lightbox effect to your content.

Great Job and THANKS!
