So, after migrating a site (using sp_upgrade), I then rearrange the images directory to a structure of my liking. Even if it's a simple move up in the folder tree.
db_replacer allows me to quickly change all [src="images/stories/] to [src="images/]
While I am at it, if I decide to rearrange or rename image folders, it is a simple src="images/old_folder/ replaced by src="images/new_folder_name/
If I needed it more frequently, like for changing affiliate links or branding, I would get the pro version in an instant. For my one-time use, it was still worth a donation.
Thanks for saving me hours of tedious work (or having to do the sql query myself)

Poof, worked. It was worth paying for.
However, one thing should be noted... this extension requires mySQLi (vs normal mySQL)
I do not know what my problem is/was with jUpgrade. It seems to work for many. The process is a little different also.
jUpgrade is installed in the 1.5 site, and then downloads, installs and migrates. SP Upgrade is installed in a fresh, empty 1.7 site, and pulls the content from the old 1.5 site.
I have a few more sites to migrate over, and I hope everyone goes as smooth as this one. (I'll also try jUpgrade on the others to see if it was just a problem with templates/extensions). If you are have trouble using the 'official' migration tool, try paying for this one and see if it works for you.

Several of the sites get 4 or 5 attempts per day, almost all spam, and blocked.
Normally I would shy away from any extension that has not been updated in a long time (and no updates to their website since 1 week after launch). But it just works.
I have not tried it with 1.6 yet, and hope that there are no issues when I make the transition.
I don't use it for registrations or logins. I just use it to protect the contact forms, so your mileage may vary with those features.
For RocketTheme issues, I haven't had issues with my RocketTheme templates and Moovur. However, I don't think the sites I using it on are using the newer Gantry based templates.
Have you asked at RT forums if there is a conflict with Gantry?

So, I just add this plugin, add site name, and turn on plain Joomla SEF.
I always wondered why Joomla doesn't have this ability by default.

I then tried Quixplorer and ran into a server error. I didn't even bother looking for a solution, after killing an hour trying to troubleshoot extplorer.
Instead, I figured it would be quicker to try another component first. Bam.... NinjaXplorer installed, and wow, it works.
I haven't checked all functions with it yet (that's why I didn't give it an excellent rating). But just being the only file manager that installed prompted a review.

I didn't want a whole component to allow for more uploads, etc.
Simple install, simple adding of tag in content to point to file. Done.
Very nice. Was worth donating to. :)
