I run a directory site with a few thousand listings.A couple of years ago I came across this extension and thought it was just about displaying a map of all your users or directory entries. Nice but not essential.
Anyway on looking at converting to Sobipro I found a recommendation for Geocode Factory in their forums so thought it worth the the small investment to see what it could do.
It took a couple of hours to experiment with all the different settings and one support ticket which was quickly sorted.
I was very impressed with the results and now we have a simple and intuitive way for people to find their local listings and the map is a bonus!

I found this shopping cart quick and easy to install - and after just a few css changes looked like a standard feature of my site.
It is well thought out, surprisingly powerful and flexible. with the facility to import and export products and to export orders.
The main negative right now is its early stage of development. I only found out about Ecwid by accident. It has quite a low profile judging by Google Trends. As it has only been around a few months (and is still in beta) it doesn't yet support many payment gateways.
In summary Ecwid is well thought out, with good support on the forums - there's even a voting system in place for guiding the future development of the project.
I fully expect Ecwid to be one of the top ten carts of 2010.
