Site Lock
Via the Admin/backend of my site, the extension was installed. One click, lock, and immediately your site is secure! I was amazed that it worked so easily...only problem is that its not recognizing my Joomla name and password!
Now I'm locked out as well. Via cPanel I deleted the "sitelock" folder. and it's STILL locked! Went to the FTP loader and removed sitelock from there. My site is still locked!! Still, from the backend I uninstalled the extension from the extension manager and ITS GONE, but THE SITE IS STILL LOCKED FROM THE FRONT END!!! This is bizarre, not to mention, a total nightmare!

@VideoLady Sorry you experienced an issue, but in our defense you HAVE NOT submitted a support ticket for your issue and that would have very easily cleared up everything. The problem you are experiencing is not because of an issue with the Site Lock extension not working properly, but it is self induced because you obviously failed to read the instructions that are extremely easy to follow and shown right in the main component screen itself.

1. Site Lock doesn't use your Joomla login credentials, you have to simply create the login for Site Lock from within the component itself, just as the instructions tell you to do when you go to the Site Lock component.

2. To unlock your site all you had to do is go to the Site Lock extension and click on the unlock button. Simple as that. This will simply disable the Site Lock plugin that locks down your site.

This seriously couldn't be any easier. The moral of the story is "READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!" that's what they are there for. :-)
