The Joomla! Extensions Directory ™

I purchased Agora shortly after it went commercial because it is 'slightly' better than the alternative Joomla! native forums. However, I was sadly disappointed that the attachments feature was wrought with bugs. I stopped using it and went with one of the bridged forums. Well, it's been several months and a few subversions later, and the attachments feature is still broken. Granted, the price is more than fair, especially since I purchased it when they had the promo that included membership to a very popular template club, so I got a really great deal. But still, I expect when an extension goes commercial some very important issues should be addressed in a timely manner, like "before" it goes commercial. A properly working attachments feature, in my humble opinion, is critical to any forum. If you don't need attachments, then I guess it works okay. But then, so does it's very popular rival, which is free. I don't want to bash Agora forum, as they are some good people behind the development. However, I post this review along with a "Very Poor" rating in hopes that it will inspire them to get on the ball with fixing the attachments feature once and for all. Please quit dilly dallying around and fix the darn thing!

MVC Generator is an excellent tool for creating the basic framework for any type of Joomla! component you wish to develop. Even the empty framework installs without a hitch. This is also an ideal way for beginning developers to help grasp the concept of how Joomla! components work. Thanks AlphaPlug for this most excellent contribution!

Installed like a breeze and looks great... works right out of the box, plain n simple. Thank you for this worthy contribution to the community!

Installed easily and worked out of the box. It appears the other reviewer bashed this extension for not having features the dev never claimed it to have. Sure, it could use more features, but it does what it claims and it does it well.

Joomla! is in need of a more advanced links component. I hope the dev take this one to the limit. I will gladly play test dummy for any updates to this extension. We need a decent links extension and this may be the start of exactly that.

Other bookmark plugins are okay, some better than others, but this one beats them all. It's unique style sets it apart form similar plugins, but my favorite thing is that it works out of the box. Thanks AlphaPlug!

This is a great start to what will surely be among the highest rated CB plugings... after a little more work. It would be nice if it generated thumbs, instead of just placing the full size video in the tab. Maybe the videos could open in a pop-up or lightbox when the thumbnail is clicked. It would also be nice if more information was displayed, such as descriptions and how many videos are listed. Pagination wouldn't be a bad addition as well. Keep up the good work! :)
