The Joomla! Extensions Directory ™

After fighting for almost 4 weeks hacking away at a VM2 installation I decided to look for alternatives. Since MijoShop uses OpenCart as its core I decided to download and install the standalone OpenCart (its free) to see how it works.

After a quick play around it was clear it would not be a problem to setup the kind of store I wanted to very easily.

I proceeded to buy MijoShop hoping that the integration into Joomla that the guys at Mijo have done would be also flawless. Full credit to them. It works so well that I am simply ecstatic. After the previous VM2 hackathon I had to endure, I have never had so much fun configuring a store as I did using MijoShop :)

This is the best money I have ever spent for a Joomla extension. I was able to install, configure, style and theme, setup payment gateway, import my products and have a working store almost production ready in one night. Something that I was not able to 100% achieve without unbelievable amounts of PHP hacking with VM2.

It slotted straight into my already styled site template by tweaking one of their free 12 MijoShop color templates to match the rest of my template and I was done in under an hour.

I even used a bunch of free OpenCart extensions without a any problems. GREAT WORK GUYS! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! This component just saved my life!
