Awesome first effort for a 1.0 version. This was simple to setup, thanks to the other reviews of suggesting to activate all Plugins (4) and Module (1). Plenty of options that I found useful (top or bottom, show on main page or not, font sizes, etc...).

Akeeba Backup
I installed the plugin, and within an hour I had to restore my site from backup after I did a Joomla upgrade. Apparently, the upgrade wasn't compatible with my template and caused errors so thankfully, I was able to restore my site back to normal.

Whew!

JA Comment
JA Comment looks way more professional and embeds well into my site. I've used other free comment systems but they looked kinda junky.

JA Comment installation didn't go so easy for me so I needed assistance. You can measure the level of success of a paid product by the level of support afterward. Joomlart provided professional level support with ticket system for any site concerns I had after installing JA Comment.

I now have a great product, and a site with commenting enabled.

sigplus
I was having a problem with Joomla Works' Simple Image Gallery since to Moo Tools was incompatible with my JA Comments. The pro version of Joomla Works has different engines, but they don't have a pro version for 1.6.3.

SIGPLUS solved this problem. And it's actually even better than Joomla Works with the embedded slider. Also, fits to the browser, or expands to full size is a nice touch. I love this plugin! :)

AcePolls
I found that Joomla 1.6 didn't have built in polls like the previous version. Why??? This extension adds that functionality back and I'm so happy again. Also ads a few more interesting features. I'm so glad the developer made this available at no cost.

SEO-Generator
I use 2 free extensions for Joomla 1.5 to get these features was sad to find those same extensions weren't available in 1.6. I'm so happy to have found this product that suits my needs in Joomla 1.6. The price of $9.9 EUR is fair for the amount of time and effort the developer put into this fine product. Thank you very much for a fine product, I hope the developer continues working on this product for future versions of Joomla.

JPlayer
I like it, works great and it's easy to setup. Dropped a star just because I'd like to see a bit more options in future versions:

- Option to remove "Click to download in FLV format"
- Justification instead of default center. I'd like the player right justified.

Thanks for review but:

- you can disable link in "Administrator -> Extensions -> Plugin Manager -> Content - JPlayer -> Display download link"

- you can change css in "plugins/content/jplayer/tmpl/ to templates/yourtemplate/html/plg_jplayer/css/style.css"

It's soOOOo easy! I consider myself an IT tech guy but really hate it when they make extensions with little or no documentation. This extension is so easy, you just play with it out of the box with little or no reading.

Redirect Failed Login
One of my Joomla sites got hacked so I was looking for something. Searched Joomla forums for Brute Force and a thread recommended this plugin. I installed it and it works. Definitely would discourage a brute force attack with the time delay combined with URL forwarding.

Anti Right Click
My client wanted the added (false) security that right click prevents downloads of photos. Yes, for most but not for those that know just a little bit about surfing the Internet. Anyhow, this satisfied the client perfectly. Thanks!
Owner's reply

Thanks for your feedback, and I am glad your client wanted this.

In fact, this was the inspiration behind this, when certain people wanted to prevent non Web savvy persons from right clicking.

A new version is in the works that will contain extra features.

I had to buy the Advanced version since my DB's are separate but I like the functionality. Works as promised tho' I had little knowledge of how DB's work.

One little thing I hope gets fixed is the full URL showing for hyperlinked text in the preview. I'd like to set this up so that people in the forum can post news items from a News forum and hyper link to the article but I don't want the URL to show up in the preview.

works as advertised. i would give it excellent but i'll reserve that for something that makes me shake in my boots. also, if i didn't get advice from an amigo i wouldn't really know how to implement it. i'm one month old into joomla so i'm kinda a dummy for now.
