Well, I’ve tried several other modules before. They seemed absolutely adequate – so you download and install, but when it gets down to make them work – something was working, something not. And it was always a big-big problem to customize the modules, too difficult for me. And hiring a professional was out of my budget (my site is not a commercial project).
I’m not a Joomla expert; my knowledge of coding is basic. But I am able to make changes in this module, I mean in the templates which are absolutely understandable! And everything works perfectly, and easily customizable for my design.
I use it to show such blocks as “new recipes” on the frontpage, “popular recipes” on category pages, and “random recipes” (btw, to do all these tasks I had to use 2 different modules before).
