I have used community builder for my community sites. I decided to check out some of the other options such as JCommunity and Joomunity. Once Joomunity is out of beta and current issues are resolved I will definitely be switching.
Joomunity has a very user friendly interface, and comes preinstalled with numerous "applications". With the user interface you install any addons directly into the interface, not as additional Joomla Extension. Its an all in one application.
Very nice idea. Keep it coming.

I was a user of Sermon Speaker. When I upgraded my church website to J!1.5 I checked out Bible Study. It has so many more features than Sermon Speaker every had. According to the developers they are working on a multi-stream podcasting ability. Once they get that ironed out Sermon Speaker won't even be able to come close to it.
I recommend this component to anyone that is running a church website that wants to have a complete listing of their multimedia content, categorized by books of the Bible, topic, teacher, series, and type of message. Check it out on their demo site, or feel free to check out my live version at http://www.colbertchurchofchrist.org/index.php?option=com_biblestudy&view=studieslist&Itemid=80
