However, in my test, it can't replace Chinese characters/words with the link I had defined at its backend.
In fact, I had been seeking for such a tool for more than 2 years, and NO one can work with Chinese characters.
Hope the author will improve this to work also with Chinese words, and other utf-8 encoded characters, such as Japanese, Korean, Arabic, etc.
Thanks.
I think this plugin is a great idea. Thanks to the author.
The original intention of this plugin was to eliminate the need to edit the source of a GPL extension every time you updated it.
However, our understanding of the GPL is that any extension that isn't also GPL is a violation of the core Joomla license. That's why you don't see non-GPL extensions in the JED.
In the same way, you can't say "this is GPL with these extra restrictions", which many extensions try to do. It's simple: if there are extra terms and conditions, then it's not a GPL license. GPL v3 makes this much more explicit.
However, if you purchase a non-GPL extension, you entered into an agreement with the developer and accepted their license. If you choose to use this plugin to violate that license, it is entirely your responsibility. Our position is that non-GPL extensions should never be installed in the first place.
Hope the author will improve this extension to support all languages. Thanks.
That's exactly what my forum ids for. So if you have problems, please post them and we can see if we can fix it.
This version works smoothly, at least I did not encounter any problem till now.
Thanks to BK !
This plugin should be added to the Editor's Pick list on JED!
My Joomla 1.5.14 was installed in a subfolder to www root, then I noticed that the frontend author name was NOT converted to a link, but the link was output as plain text instead of HTML.
When I enable the Joomla SEF, I found another bug: the URL for the author page was wrong, it used the itemID as the document name in URL, which should be the Title Alias along with the itemID.
Hope the author will continue to improve this plugin. Thanks.
For the first problem please read the homepage carefully. there's a patch.
And for the second if the first solved then sure i'll use the itemID to fix the bug.
Thanks
However, I noticed that there are very limited date format options in the settings. And no one matches our Chinese people's tradition. For example, we want a date format as: %Y 年 %b 月 %d 日。I tried to define such a format in the language file but failed.
Hope the author will add full customization option to date format in next release. Thanks.
Can you raise this point (with a little more detail) in the Jevents 1.5 forum and we'll see what can be done.
The worse is, it can't automatically detect my translation and pick up it to show. This is not a difficult work, but the developers did not accomplish it.
It can detect your language files, no prob. If you can't work out how, try the support forum.
What is more, this module can't show up Chinese characters. I added several Chinese language tags in the Advanced Parameters, but the frontend module still ONLY shows the default English tags.
Why NOT just show the tag name As Is what I had input there?
Another problem is, the initial image folder on this ImageManager is not /images, but the root of Joomla installation.
Thanks for the note, I'll change the default image path to images. It was the reason for the long load time, because the ImageManager was trying to find all the subfolders inside the root folder. Now it will search only images directory and it will take less.
Please use .ini format language file so I can make full translation for this component. Thanks.
Dear Baijianpeng!
At first thank you for review and rate!
You shouldn't edit .php language file .
To add new translation you should go to the BE -> Comopnents -> BearLeague -> Languages -> 'New' button and translate all the words. Then press 'Save' button and make your translation default
Best Regards,
Team
It will be better if the author develop a plugin to insert map into Joomla article, and a module to show latest/random/specific map on a module positon. Thanks.
This component lacks another feature: uploader. FTP transfer is not convenient for each user, so an uploader is good.
However, I still think this is a good plugin. Hope the author will find some time to improve the documentation.
Thanks.
Fixed the issues with the Wiki system.
I'm not exactly sure what would be needed for installation instructions on the plugin. As it should be just like any other plugin.
Everyone having problems or uncertain after reading the documentation please post a message in the forums.
Sorry for any confusion or frustration there have been with my wiki documentation being unaccessible.
However, I hope the author can add an extra feature: CAPTCHA. Then it can block spambot too.
Thanks.
Thanks for submitting your review.
we will add the reCaptcha in our next version of AjaxRegistraton and will have the back end option for enable and disable
