SecurityImages is a good component, the author must had put much more efforts in the development. But it requires hacks to the Joomla! core files and other 3rd party extensions which want to use this CAPTCHA engine. I think these hacks will creat difficulties for later updates. This is just like cut foot to fit the boot.

Maybe a better solution is to add CAPTCHA engine to the Joomla! core. I mean, let Joomla! has its own CAPTCHA component and plugin and API. Then any 3rd party extension can call and show security code if it was coded to use this API.

This is a great plugin, as a former commenter said, it should be included in the C.B. core.

I think this plugin can help to make a video Personal Introduction or something like this.

However, I would like to make a suggestion. Could you please add more other video sharing providers besides Youtube and Google? If you feel difficult, maybe you can consider to call Allvideos Plugin to do this job. Because Allvideos Plugin support more than 40 providers around the world. I hope some Chinese providers will be supported by this plugin, because Chinese Joomla! users seldom use Youtube, they like Chinese video sharing websites more and those sites are more faster.

This is a good component. But when I try to paste some text copied from other webpages, the result will show up without line break.

I think the author can add a new feature: use wysiwyg editor in this component, then it can keep those line breaks.

Someone applaud for this commenting component maybe because it is the first one, or the only one at present, commenting component for Joomla! 1.5. But it is not so good. The file and folders structures are similar in component and plugin, which make me very confused when trying to translate it.

The backend parameters are also weird, it ask me to add a Guest User account! I haven't seen such a requirement on any other commenting system.

Second, it is not easy for those who want to allow comments for All his sections. This component has no option for All Section, you must enter the section IDs manually.

I am not satisfied. Hope the author will improve it later.

I call this component the Plug&Play phpMyAdmin. This is very good extension that help us manage the database. This one had ended the painful days of accessing phpMyAdmin by complicated installation or extra links and accounts.

This module can display current time for different time zones.

If you allow to translate the weekday name that will be better.

If display time with Analog clock this will be perfect.

This module can display a clock as it claimed. But it only shows one clock for one region. I thought it can display several clocks for different time zones just as we saw on the wall in big hotels.

This module also loads very slow since it will try to read some data from another remote server.

This component make video sharing on our own website possible.

I like this component so much that I had made a Chinese translation for it.

If the author can add more video sharing providers as well as more format to be allowed for uploading, such as .avi, .wmv, .rm, .rmvb, .mov and .mpg, this will be perfect.

This component can publish some job posts. But it is too weak to build a job hunting website. It is only suitable for a small company to post its recruitment ads. It is a pity that it has no CAPTCHA to fight spams.

Even for such a small function, it should has the feature of category. I think it can be improved further to be able to build a job publishing and searching website, whick need detailed categories and advanced search feature.

Finally we have this module to show Flash files on the Joomla webpage. I love this one.

But I noticed that this module will resize my flash banner to about 190px wide when the original width was 768.

Maybe it need some reparation.
