Hi, although the extension seems not to work on your website, but it does not mean to get 1 star rating while we have a forum to post a bug/ error and discuss the solution. You install the extension for Free and better should spend you time to make it better, not to clam as if you invested 1 fortune to our development. Thanks
I read that issues like this are common with translators due to Google but the fact that I got another similar extension to work with no issues made me think that this one could be better. It probably is in the commercial version.
This one doesn't do that. It works well and won't break your template.
It took about 15 minutes to install it, create the article for the window, select a style and link to it from another article and have it up and running. The end result is stylish and impressive indeed.
Can't believe it's free!
In order to customize my sub menu items, I utilized the default_1.css file but no matter how many times I modified it, the links in my sub nav wouldn't change. After inspecting the code in the helper.php file, I located an error. The path to the default_1.css file is incorrect. It reads: modules/mod_customenu/customenu/css_extra/ when it should be modules/mod_customenu/customenu/css/extra/.
So, for those of you considering this module and in particular, the custom features, keep this in mind but don't let it deter you from giving this mod a go as it is really very good indeed.
Note: I've notified the developer of the error.
I recently installed it for the first time for a client with a small shop who didn't have the budget for something 'better', so I had to make it work. It was frustrating at times trying to figure out what files to edit but in the end I got there.
There seems to be this expectation that the developers should be prepared to answer each and every question that gets posted in the forums. There are a lot of silly questions that I believe go unanswered because the developers expect people to have a little common sense & figure it out themselves. Perhaps if people could do that, the 'real' issues wouldn't get lost in the shuffle.
If you're inexperienced in web design/development & don't have time to customize things, don't bother with Virtuemart. Drop some money on a commercial product that will hopefully offer you the support you need.
It's easy to install and deploy and does exactly what it claims to do.
Unfortunately my client decided they wanted something different with the images in the end so I didn't end up using it, but it's great anyway and a credit to the developers.
What I like about it the most is that the user can manage their newsletters from within their own website without having to link to a third party. It's easy - I had it installed and churning out newsletters in no time.
The only suggestion I have is for the option to redirect the user to another page after subscribing. The message that appears above the sign up form is adequate, but I'd rather the user be taken to a customized page within the website thanking them for subscribing. If this option exists and I've missed it, my apologies.
Thanks to the developers and all of the fantastic contributors who dedicate their time to making lighter work for the rest of us.
Thank you for your review.
About the redirect option after subscription, please go on the AcyMailing configuration page, click on the tab "subscription" and you will see two fields to configure a redirect url.
If you are talking about a redirection after the module subscription, then you should edit the AcyMailing module and enter your own redirect url in this module (there is an option for that too).
