This template is a must have for any serious Joomla administrator. It not only speeds up the admin site but also speeds up the process of just about every task in the Joomla Admin. I love how configurable it is and can't imagine how much work the author(s) have had to put into it to get it where it is at.
One thing I did notice is when the image is missing for a component in the components list the 'alt' text shows up and can run down onto the next component in the menu. Not a big deal at all but would be nice if it didn't happen.
Thanks again for the awesome template! Working from my phone just got that much better!

This extension is one of the "it's so simple, it has to be good" extensions. Google gears is a great product and it has finally been brought to Joomla. This is definitely a must have for any Joomla site.
Although the extension is amazing, I did run into one problem. It should be noted that this is not the extensions fault but instead it is because of my server configuration. The extensions would get a 'Server 500' error when trying to update Gears. The way to get around this is to do this:
1. SSH into your account
2. Go to your /plugins/system/GoogleGears/ folder
3. run this command: php gears-manifest.php > manifest.txt
4. Edit joomlaGears.js and do a search for 'gears-manifest.php'
5. Switch gears-manifest.php to manifest.txt
That is it! After you have done that your site will be much happier.
Thanks Phil for another great product!
