The Joomla! Extensions Directory ™

I have been using joomla for more than 5 years now and used various components paid and free over these years. One component that comes to my mind as absolutely needed when using joomla is Acesef. I admire the developers passion in creating this component. Hats off to them. I guess I am one of the early users of Acesef (bought it even before it was isted ere without any reviews) prior to this I was using Sh404 and moved to acesef when the original developer of Sh404 dropped development on it. But boy one thing is for sure it turned out to be a great move.

This is a component that just keeps growing and the developers are pretty innovative, it included features that just made my job easy sitemaps, internal links,automatic updation, an excellent and growing range of extensions. I just love this component. Joomla should take notice of this and encourage such developers. For me this is surely a top 5 component of Joomla Period.

A suggestion to Joomace developers. Keep Going I believed in your talent when you just launched this product and you have kept your faith. Also would love to see you guys charge a bit lesser or increase the time period on your extensions. I am sure you would have more clients that way.

I was trying for the last few months for some creative way to stop spam registration arising from certain countries, tried registration forms with captcha etc. But they still kept coming. Then I realized I can use Metamod and GeoIP function to stop users from specific countries being able to register. I wrote about my need in the forum and Stephen was immediately helpful within a few hrs I had my requirement fulfilled.

One should thank Stephen for this amazing Module. This module should rather be included in the core of Joomla considering the length and breadth of its applications. Truly the work of a genius. Hats Off Mate.
