I've given this a go since I need a new videoplayer for J 1.5. This is pretty easy to use so I have no complaints.
However it's loaded with js and it really slowed down my website. Removing it made my website load faster.
I only have two videos to date so it may be an "overkill" for my website.
But for video junkies, it's a worthy component to consider.

I was using another module for a long time but my client wanted something that the reader could control the flow of the news. I knew I had to look for a module that will only display the news of just one module. I found it from the forum, installed it and played around with it to find the right category or section.
Took me about 5 minutes top to configure it and now it's running great.
One quibble: If a web visitor clicked on the number below, then the news ticker stops and doesn't restart until the page reload. It's a small thing but would be nice if there's a certain time out and then the newsticker will restart without having to reload the page.
Also, I tried with W3C validation and there's an error code so I hope this can be updated with W3C corrections.
But all in all, a great tool!

thank you, deafbiz!
I have found the small W3C invalidation cause and updated the current version

I've tried all the forms extensions and had to ditch them all because they were simply too complicated or time-consuming.
If you find it easier to create forms in HTML, such as Dreamweaver, you'll LOVE ChronoForms!
The support services from ChronoEngine is absolutely top-notch, especially for a FREE Extension. Best bargain of the year! I was so impressed with them that I went ahead anyway and paid $25 for a license.
Do you need to send email to multiple recipients while hiding the email addresses from prying eyes? This can be done!
ChronoForms is a *MUST HAVE* for forms on your Joomla websites.

I was struggling with the other Google Maps components to add directions on the Google Map but no luck. I settle for the Google Plugin as it was the only one that accurately uses the Lat. and Long. information! Then just as I was signing off my work, this new extension popped up. I couldn't see the demo but went ahead and downloaded the module and published on the right sidebar next to the map. Solves the problem of providing directions without adding more work! Good simple module!
I installed and published the module and I had to quickly unpublish it because there's no spam filters or IP tracking. So the Admin will be subjected to a barrage of spam and insults. Furthermore, the email delivery didn't work. I know becuase I sent a test message to myself.

Spam filtering and IP Tracking relies upon your mail server installation. I recommend SpamAssassin for this. Do you have your php.ini setup to send mail? Perhaps the php mail() function is not working because of settings in php.ini. For *nix make sure sendmail_path and sendmail_from is set correctly. For a windows PHP install make sure that SMTP and smtp_port are set properly.

I had permission to copy a slideshow from a static website to incorporate into my Joomla website. I was facing a daunting task of converting 12 small and large pictures to make a slideshow because I didn't want to use lightbox.
I took a chance with this module and was able to copy the code and run it.
Took me about 15 minutes to figure this out and it works great without affecting XHTML code.
So this should be another *must have* tool if you need to use css and/or javascript on a single page instead of the entire website.
Kudos for a great module!
