Easy Embed Video
Probably the easiest plugin I have ever used for embeding media in articles.

My only little tweak - it would be nice to be able to center/left/right align the videos as well as set their size

SCM Music Player
Looks really pretty but I can't get it to work. Doesn't seem to read the mp3 track when given the URL and the developer states it supports playlists but gives no informatioon how to add one. In fact there is no documentation available at all. i have seen the component used on non joomla sites and you just add the playlist in parameters on the back end but there is no option to do so on this Joomla version

SplashR
The plugin does work but it isn't configurable enough for me.

One is stuck with the top bar wether one wants to have skip enabled or not and sometime the bar remains once the main site is entered.

I'd like to see that "bar remains" issue in action. Please contact me so I can get that issue resolved.

MailChimp integration for Joomla!
Seriously compared to all the other Mailchimp extensions this is the bees knees!

Hope it comes out for joomla 1.6 real soon!
Owner's reply

Dear Deemo,

thank you for your praise. It means a lot to us and we highly appreciate it. Rest assured there is a version for Joomla! 1.6 already in the oven and will be served shortly.

Lovely little module only issue I had was that the module class suffix was missiong from the admin end which is nice to have with modern templates.

I altered the code to make this work for anyone else who needs to do this do the following.

delete the following

get('moduleclass_sfx'); ?> from line 3 of modules/mod_countdown/tmpl/default.php

and add

to line 21 (make a space don't paste over anything else) of modules/mod_countdown/mod_countdown.xml

I tried all the countdown modules this one is definately the best by far!

Glad you caught that! It has been fixed in version 2.5.0. :-)

JComments
Great component, does the job lovely but it's just a shame that I lose my "Read More" button on blog layout pages!
Owner's reply

You can disable using JComments style for readmore in JComments content plugin params. Or set same style for JComments links.
