Awesome Store from the Developer of K2 Store

This is an excellent shopping cart extension. It's from the same developer of wonderful K2 Store, which integrates a shopping cart into the K2 content extension. Having a separate extension is smart because some people may want to keep K2 content separate from their store or may not want to use K2 at all. I've used the K2 Store extension for a long time and now I am testing this for projects that may require a store but not necessarily K2. So far it is excellent, every bit as good as K2 store.

This was a life saver for me as I needed to create a content item with some custom code. After installing it, I realized I actually had a lot of areas in my web development where this component can be used. It's so easy to use as well!

Discussions
Other forum extensions I found to be too complicated and too messy for average users. Although I love phpBB, I needed a Joomla! based forum for a particular project and Discussions fit perfectly. It's so easy to set up and manage on the back end and easy to use on the front end. And the best part is that its design is clean and simple.

Excellent for Migrating to 1.7

I used this extension as an alternative to Jupgrade to migrate my 1.5 site to 1.7 since Jupgrade also migrates useless 1.5 extensions that you can't get rid of except by editing your database. It worked perfectly. All I had to do was export all my articles and set it to also export users and images and then use the import tool on the 1.7 site to import the .xml file and, like magic, it structured all my categories and put the articles in where they belong. The only con is that it doesn't export modules or menus but those are easy enough for me to rebuild, so I'm not concerned about that. This is a great way to perform a clean transition from 1.5 to 1.7.
