I thought I had found a good star rating solution but the star images and ratings are pulled from their site. If they are down or slow you are out of luck. Also it is heavily branded in an obtrusive way. There are better solutions out there.

I have been using this plugin for years and it will not work with 2.5.9. To make matters worse, Vargas as LOCKED the support forum for this on their website. Even if you are logged in, you can no longer get support. It's very sad. I used to love this plugin.

I was very excited when I found this solution and gladly paid for it instead of opting for a non-commercial alternative. However, I was very disappointed when I found that this extension not only has a serious flaw but the developers are unwilling on unable to do anything about it.

The problem seems so small but its impact is huge. If any word you have defined a tooltip for is repeated within the tooltip description the JE Tooltip code tries to insert a tooltip within a tooltip which not only breaks the original tooltip but the whole site as well. This makes it unusable on a real world website.

When I brought this issue up to the developer his repeated reply was that it was my fault and there was nothing they could do about it. I presented examples of similar extensions that I have used in years past that do not have this problem (unfortunately none of them work for my version of Joomla) but he would not fix the issue.

I have never had a problem like this with a commercial Joomla developer. When a developer will not fix an obvious issue in a commercial extension and does not offer a refund it reflects badly on the entire Joomla community.

I urge you to seek out other tooltip solutions and avoid any other products from this developer since his attitude does not reflect well on Joomla.

I had to get a map solution up right away and I've had experience with a few other less than positive map extension experiences in the last few years.

Before I downloaded it I had some reservations about this solution. It looked okay but I couldn't tell if it would do all the things I needed, especially allow map point edits from the front-end of the site.

I can now tell you that if you have any reservations about this solution, forget them. Not only is this the greatest map solution available as a Joomla extension, but the support is exceptional.

Don't waste your time trying to make a non-commercial solution work correctly with your site or wait forever to hear back from some of the other commercial solution providers. Download and install Hotspots then go spend time fixing something else.
