However, there's no feature to test run and no result or error reporting so you can't tell how many matches, if any, were found (it always just says "Database Updated!").
The single/multiline feature also has no effect on the search and merely decides whether the input form uses or
It's an ok start but a bit cheeky to charge for this...
Thank you for your comments - these will be integrated into a brand new version of the component, which will have improved search functionality across modules, menus and articles, previews of search and replace results and a summary of changes, search hits and replacements made.
Scheduled Release Date: 1st December 2010
However, it still falls down on 2 issues...
Firstly, it doesn't aggregate all the JS and CSS files. It simple compresses them individually. Some might view this as a feature...
Secondly, the breaking point for me, it doesn't use the cache or tmp folder. It creates the compressed file in the same folder as the original. This means you end up with cryptically named PHP files in your templates folders, plugins folders, components folders, everywhere! And there's no method to clear them out via the plugin interface.
If you aren't one of those obsessive web developer types who likes things to be tidy and sensibly organised then this plugin is probably the easiest way to get some sort of compression on our site.
If you are like me however :) then you've been warned!
- Cropping
- Free
Cons:
- No control over the quality of the saved JPEGs
- No way to copy an image or save modifed version with another name (eg for making thumbnails)
- Not accessible from article editing pages nor on the frontend
- No handles to adjust the size of the cropping window once you've let go of the mouse button
A good start but it doesn't go far to make up the difference between Joomla and Wordpress.
Thanks for your review.
I have one comment about about:
"Not accessible from article editing pages nor on the frontend"
The "Edit image" link is added to article editing both in backend and frontend editing. When your review where written it where only added to backend editing. (from version 2.3 it´s also added to frontend editing)
To avoid confusion, I mean that it´s reachable from the image function that are placed below the texteditor, not above the texteditor.
The code is clean and simple and the XML file allows you to add proprietary and rare SB sites with maximum flexibility.
A couple feature requests:
- Advanced param to allow disabling of built in CSS (prevent excessive CSS files from loading)
- Include/exclude by category or section (it has exclude by category)
- Some spelling mistakes on the config params
- Optionally display SB links below intro text on cat and section blog pages, like on the Front page (Some people have running full articles in their blog views...)
Thanks again!!
One nuance:
helper.php Line 36
$results = $dispatcher->trigger('onPrepareContent', array (& $item, & $params, NULL ));
Added the NULL to prevent warnings about missing 3rd parameter...
By the way if you want plugins to run on Section an category descriptions check out this post: http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=469&t=250173
