This is an exceptionally simple and effective newsletter system that easily deserves 5 stars but unfortunately, the presentation here doesn't do it any justice.
Not having used a newsletter option before, I was put off by the lack of documentation & demo (or screen shots), the download section was confusing and there was no way to pass word onto the developer - even their unhelpful remarks in the forum was a put off.
It was only after reading the reviews here and after trial and error that I found the correct file (module at the end of the download page) to install and configure it. By this time, the enclosed instruction had become superfluous.
The developers have certainly invested their time into making an excellent newsletter system but in return, they should not have to ask users to invest their time into guessing whether this extension might work for them.

Although it's listed as a guest book, I edited the prompt names and use it to get comments on an article (instead of using a poll). The layout is simple and neat and smileys can be used. I have already applied the simple modification as suggested earlier by another user and don't expect to have spam problems as reported here.

It worked immediately and is perfect for allowing quick and easy adjustment to the size of thumbnails and then zooming as required. This is definitely a 'should try first' extension. Pity the demo button takes you to the website which is in Russian; I couldn't figure out where or what I should be clicking to see the demo in action and was initially reluctant to use it!

This doesn't work with inline images and newer browsers as the author has stopped developing it. Pity really because it has the right simplicity to enlarge graphics in an article.

I downloaded this extension today and discovered it is nice and simple because it compares the files/MDF signature of your Joomla installation against a supplied list of files/MDF's within a text file. The drawback is the text file is dated 5 Feb 08 and a simple check at doc.joomla.org with the Joomla v1.5 release dates revealed v1.5 was released on 22 Jan and 1.5.1 released on 8 Feb. It therefore currently checks only v1.5; subsequent Joomla upgrades have different files. There are no MD5 lists at doc.joomla.org (the MD5 info only refers to a single number for the package itself) and you will need to use a standalone MD5 checker to generate a comparative text file after expanding an original full (not upgrade) ZIP Joomla package of the installed version.
