this is impossible to instal.
checked zip folder and site can´t find any documentation,

now that this component is so tricky to get working,
why not make a tutorial so its not a pain for every one to install it.
its called a Component, Components is Extentions that can be installed by the joomla installer. it dosent seems to be the way with this "component"
cant install it.

that's the kind of remarks that make me think to give up opensource development.

You could ask your question by e-mail, I will answer it with pleasure. I believe that you do not know what it is. I suggest you to find a component which will surely be paying much more.

SEF the mystical stuff that always kills my site.
i did as described put the .php file in components/com_virtuemart folder

and as with all SEF ASAP i enable it in Configuration,
my sites comes with site 404 not found and similar errors. or just trash the layout of site and lills bits of the site.

SEF is i guess the most strange thing in joomla.
i newer learn it ,

i set it to good i guess its ok if i coud figure out using it..

Hi,

Thank you for taking time and review this small plugin of mine. If you are getting 404 error than I am sure you have not renamed the httaccess.txt to .htaccess. Can you please make sure if you have a correct .htaccess file in your root directory?

Firestats is not an joomla component but a seperate system with its own mysql database,
so you have to install firestats in the root and create a database for it,
"it were not so easy so i share my way to do it :)"

Guide: Start
download the automatic installer, unpack it and upload the firestats-installer folder to your site root (normally the same place as your joomla files.

make installer-config.php and the directory temp inside firestats-installer writable 755

type yoursite.com/firestats-installer
it starts the installer and asks for install pass word, you can use anyone you like

step one: Enter directory
click [check directory]
i will show the path copy the string (its the same string to use in module)
eg /home/user12345/public_html/firestats

step two: Obtain archive
select obtain from internet and click [get latest version] wati til finisjed and click [install/upgrade]
the install is Done.

now you have to create the mysqltables
you still need to get FireStats to create the tables inside your MySQL database.
to do this, simply access FireStats with your browser (usually something like http://your-server.com/firestats), and follow the on-screen instructions.
You should know your MySQL host name, username password and database name in advance.

Once you have FireStats installed into the database, go to the sites tab, add a site remember to select Joomla here

after its build you can see the firestats site id its the first number, [1] so now you got both the path and the number for the module.

guide: End

hope i have explained i right,
Download and lot more info on firestats site
http://firestats.cc

Enjoy your new statistic tool.

Hi Hucks,

nice to describe how to install FireStats..
But as my module is using FireStats, it's a normal JOOMLA module with the default installation
