DOCman
Their design and capabilities are suitable if you know how to code - if you don't then you might as well look elsewhere. Plus I purchased this last year October 2010 and than all of a sudden in July 2011 they have changed Joomlatools to a Membership. So if you want any upgrades from any recent purchases like mine you have to pay an upgrade fee for 12 month support - I already paid. Terrible. Poor business management and greed ruins Joomla extensions. Goodbye Joomlatools.

Thanks for your review. I would like to clarify the change to a subscription model.

Previously customers bought an individual version of DOCman and got updates and support for that version. For example if you bought DOCman 1.5, you got support and updates for all DOCman 1.5.x versions.

With the new subscription service customer buy a subscription for a year 12 months and that subscription includes access to all our products and support service within those 12 months.

DOCman 1.5 customers continue to receive updates and don't need to upgrade to a subscription unless they want to get access to DOCman 1.6 for Joomla 1.7/2.5.

I hope this helps to clarify.

AntiCopy
I only rated it as good because there are still ways to copy the source code and easily retrieve paths to images or scripts. But still it should thwart at least 99 percent of the web surfer who pays a visit to your site. Nice job!

Hotspots
I was looking for a way to integrate Google Maps into my JomSocial designed website. Even though JomSocial has its own Google integration - it is pretty basic. HotSpots answers the question and does more than I asked. Besides being multi functional the support from Daniel is A+. I asked a question in the forums that was csv related to the component and I was answered in a matter of hours. I am very happy with this purchase and I wish the developers the best as they continually try to improve on the functions.

Users Generator
I needed to test a site yesterday and needed to create over 3000 users to test load balancing issues. This nifty little component created over 3000 users in a matter of seconds. Absolutely perfect! Keep up the good work. One thing I would suggest is the ability to modify and rename the names/emails that are generated. Also with option to add pictures, but this is just a wish list. Otherwise A+

PHP Image Editor Lite Joomla
2 words - excellent extension! Plus I must add some intellectual elaboration. This is a much needed part of the Joomla admin as a backend extension but it could work as a frontend extension as well. You do not know how many times I get images on my site that are 6MB and up and this extension is well needed part of the Joomla core. Many thanks to the developer for his ingenious efforts. Keep developing and learning your craft because you are an addition to this Joomla society.

ArtCats
This is a good module - does what it says but there is no uninstall or it does not register itself to be uninstalled if you find out you do not want to use it. Has a lot of features and a suggestion is to allow it to place more than just the title of the article but maybe a full article post with comments. Good luck to the developer.

Hi there! I'm not sure what you mean about there being no uninstall available for the module and faulting my module for that reason?

The only way I know of to delete a module is to go within the Install/Uninstall area within the Extensions tab, then going to the Modules area and selecting a module to uninstall (if you want to completely remove it). If you just want to delete an instance of the module you can do so within the Module Manager by checking the checkbox next to the module instance and then clicking on the Delete button. If a module isn't "registered" properly upon installation then you won't be able to use it so if you are able to use the module then you should definitely be able to uninstall it without any issue.

I'll look into your other suggestions though :-).

Thank you!

Installed this module, uploaded my SWF file to my servers folder, published the module, filled in the blanks for the Module Parameters, and all is good. This is a super easy module to install. Straightforward, no hiccups. To the Joomla user who needs to know how to publish this again. Just copy the one module you already published and than just change the Module Parameters for each. Thanks to the developers - great job.

Music Collection
It appears to be a good component - scans your folder to see what music you uploaded - but the legwork in making this appear nice is left to you. You need to manually add all info about the MP3's as it does not automatically pull over the information from the ID3 tag. I was getting some PHP errors but have posted to the forum and will see what response I get. To me it seems like a good component that could be excellent if a little more work goes into it. My best to the developers as it appears they are trying to do a good job. Better documentation and a spell check on all referenced help would be nice.
Owner's reply

hello!
it looks like you managed to skip these PHP errors, probably some configuration thing.

we are working on a good documentation as well as improving the system. we're trying to add ID3 tag auto-reading, but its difficult, and we want to make this right.

I hope you can update the review and give us 5 stars on the future when the new features and documentation come out :)

Simple RSS Feed Reader
This is a great module for Joomla. It is easy to configure and easy to deploy onto a website. The only concern I have is that it should be able to have a commenting system on it. After each article there should be a method to allow comments. I know that I could easily copy the article into Joomla's article backend and then deploy JComments but it would be nice to know how to add a commenting system to each article that your RSS over to your site. Otherwise this is an excellent module and best of all it is free. I would pay for the development of an advanced module if the developers were interested.

MooFAQ - Frequently Asked Questions Component
I was looking for a FAQ extension that would not have me pulling my hair out of my head due to figuring out how it worked in the Joomla! admin back-end - but - MooFAQ sweetly cuddles my brain cells and it works with a little coaxing. Easy setup and follow through. If you do have a question the forum is an excellent place to ask because you will get a response immediately. That is if the developer is not sleeping. A fantastic extension that should be part of the core Joomla! installation.

CB Captcha Plugin
I give this an excellent for the added security it gives to your CB website. The back end settings are well noted but I do have a suggestion. There is no refresh button that I can see that could be placed next to the captcha image - this would be in case someone could not understand the captcha image. Is this a consideration from the developer? Otherwise I deem this extension a must have for any CB website owner.

Pro Magic Audio Player
I would have given it 5 stars but there seems room for improvement on this extension. Even though it is great to implement into your website and that you have many ways of putting multiple players into your website - I wish there was a way for the end user to pick the MP3's that you are showing them and they could make their own playlist. If there is a way to do this I would appreciate the help but as far as look, feel, support I would have to say excellent. Just wish for more functionality for the end user who visits your site.

ChronoForms
Even if you have limited coding experience with Joomla this form is for you. If you know how to read instructions you can have a form up and running on your site within minutes. And if you run into an issue the Chrono guys have a forum and help. I sent an email at 2am in the morning and received a reply from Chrono guys within 2 hours. It is fully extensible - meaning you can code your forms in Dreamweaver and import the code into Chronoforms. I am extremely happy I found this form - it is well worth the amount I paid. If you own lots of websites like me - buy the unlimited version - it is worth it.

JC JoomRSS
It appears that this extension works but it is limiting could use more functions to make it worth the price they want. You can find free RSS solutions as opposed to paying close to 50 dollars for this limited extension. Better off using Joomla news feed .
The developers do not answer support emails unless you request a refund. They need to learn business sense and how to support the customer.

JoomGallery
I joined the Joomla site just to write this review. This extension answers most of all my concerns with having a gallery on my site. This is an exceptional extension and should be given consideration by all. The developers are well versed in programming and their Support staff immediately answered a question I had. I have paid for extensions and have not that level of support. I wish this group well and I look forward to future releases.
