LazyBackup 2
LazyBackup automatically backups your SQL Database. It gives me peace of mind that this is done automatically each day and saved to my Joomla Directory and also emailed to me.

It makes an excellent companion with SQL Dumper that peforms manual backups and restores, which I also highly recommend.

If you have a problem, responses seem a little kurt and high level, which may be a consideration or concern for newbies. The help popups are found by mouseovers in the Plugin control panel for Lazybackups. Again these may short and easy to misunderstand. The help for backup files say to specify the "absolute path," which is incorrect. Through trial and error over several days I found the author meant to tell us to use the "relative path."

Overall this is a very useful pluglin that every Joomla Administrator could use.

Xmap
After reviewing all the site map extensions available I decided to go with Xmap because it seemed like the lowest risk and most likely to function with the most recent release of Joomla 1.5.

I took a chance and downloaded the new Xmap 1.1 Beta. It installed easily and within minutes I had a site map suitable for my small business website.

TMEdit
The new version of TMedit for 1.5RC3 works just fine on Joomla 1.5RC4 Also. To get it to work don't forget to select TMedit as your editor in the global configuration and I found that disabling TinyMCE in the plugins is also advantageous.

RokSlideshow
I am about a week new to Joomla.I have downloaded and used several extensions in building my site with 1.5RC4. I been holding off on putting in slideshow on my homepage because learning curve has been intense, and most entensions seem to don't work the first time.

I had RokSlideshow downloaded, installed and displaying panoramic views of the city in what seemed like about 5 minutes. This is the first extension I used that worked the first time out of the chute! It is simple, intuitive, and powerful. The "Ken Burns Effects" are awesome!

Jumi
I am a NewB to Joomla, and I had no problem at all getting either the plugin or the module working the first time. I used Jumi to insert JS in content where I wanted to activate pop-ups, e.g.
