So far after 2 months of using version 3 I'm still regularly reporting bugs and the support from the developers is friendly but quite slow.
Personally I would stick to version 2 until all the bugs / issues have been ironed out.
Use version 3 at your own peril...

Thank you for your concerns. We have been in the process of improving Wordpress for Joomla! 3.0 since its release and we welcome any reports of suspected bugs. It is our goal to make the highest quality software possible.

For anyone needing to setup any sort or subscription website this is THE extension to use.
You can restrict access to just about anything!! EVEN parts of a component EG. certain forums.
The possibilities are endless.

Use it to simply administer groups access to certain categories if you want - the skies the limit
I really can't do it justice here it has to be used to be appreciated. Oh and the support - one word AWESOME. I had a suggestion for a feature and had a quick chat with the developer on skype he created the solution and gave me the code ON THE SPOT - now that's service!!! and it's going to be implemented in the next release as standard.
If you need to restrict access to any parts of your joomla! website, whether simply to restrict group access OR as a Pay to read then this is THE extension for you.
