This component, while still in beta, is being actively developed by Joomila. Support, through Joomla! forums, is pretty quick and thorough. The author appears committed to producing a useful and functional ACL enhancement to the core Joomla! and is very responsive in the Joomla! forums with updates, upgrades and feature enhancements.

You can restrict user access to menu links, effectively adding roles to your Joomla! installation.

That rocks!

For functionality (remember it IS in beta) I would rate this component "Good," but the author's willingness to keep at it and make it better and better definitely upgrades this component to "Excellent!"

With CustomContent and DirectPHP, I really think there's nothing I can't do with a Joomla! site. I can't even imagine a Joomla! without it!! Thanks for this extension!

I can't imagine Joomla! without DirectPHP. It lets me put the code I want where I want! It's absoutely indespensible. It seems that including really long code blocks tends to cause errors, so I typically build a .php file and include it in my article rather than building an entire script in the article. I've used it in conjunction with custom content plugin to make menus appear for select users. I love it!!
